Just got back and I must say this little Kahr has exceeded all my expectations. Only manged 50rds before I started bleeding from my shooting thumb knuckle (don't blame the Kahr, I have this problem w/most pistols, anyone know how to prevent this?).

Accuracy: I could hit coke cans at 10yds! I was *not* expecting this level of accuracy w/the DA-style trigger & short sight radius, this was w/both 6rd & 7rd mags (definitely installing night sights)!

Reliability: I did the recommended pre-shoot prep of cleaning, lubing, racking the slide manually 200 times, leaving the action locked back for 24hrs and function was 100% w/both 6rd & 7rd mags using 115gr & 147gr ammo (didn't feel much recoil difference, will have to do a direct recoil-comparison test after my thumb heals).

Covert Carrier grip/clip: Although very noticeable when you grip the pistol, there was no unusual discomfort while shooting or skin damage/irritation afterwards (bloody knuckle was much more distracting).
I'm wearing it now AIWB as a test and the balance causes the Kahr to swing so the muzzle is almost directly below the clip. This points the butt of the pistol up at about 45 degrees. This conceals very well w/my shirt slightly bloused but the 7rd mag's extra length doesn't conceal quite so well and requires more blousing.
The mfgr's suggested technique for drawing w/the Covert Carrier is to use your shooting hand to locate the slide of the pistol through your pants and push it up until your thumb and fingers can securely grasp the pistol to complete the draw. This works but I found I'm much faster if I use my off-hand to push the pistol up while my shooting hand grasps/draws the pistol.

Bottom line: As long as it proves to be reliable, this little Kahr is a keeper. I'm thinking 6rd mag for carry w/7rd mags as reloads.

Glad you are loving the CM.

I don't know about that grip though. To each his own but def. not my cup of tea. Sounds to me like the draw requires allot of effort not to mention both hands to do it safely. There are tons of inexpensive IWB options that would cover the trigger and only need one hand to draw.

Good luck, let us know how the night sight swap goes.

Thx. If I can manage an IWB holster then I'll carry my preferred S&W M&P9c. This is for those times when I simply cannot do so since the CM9 is a tad big for true pocket carry for me.
The Covert Carrier is an experiment and if it doesn't prove practical I'll try something else.
