I took my ruger wheel gun to the range this morning, sent about 150 rounds thru it,mostly reloads and 25 buffalo bore +P 38 sp. Just thought ya might like to see a sample. I do have to remember to bring a screw driver next time, i had to adjust down a bit to achieve this, aimed at the bottom of 7 circle.

Nice Blackhawk - your grips look better than the ones on my old 1968 BH.
You gonna get a slick western rig for it to ride in?

grips are smooth as glass, slippery when wet. A real challenge to hold onto w` magnums. Sorry, ain`t no money left after the ruger, cossbow,cw45,pm45,and p45. Do i detect a pattern here?

Slippery is not a bad thing. Just let it roll. That's the way it was designed.
I checkered a few sets of those and they bite ya pretty good with warm loads.

Yea, colonel, i agree checkering would be too much even for my crusty construction worker hands. I was thinking maybe a light sanding with very fine 600 grit or finer, just to give it a tiny bit more grip. I could buff it back to shiny smooth again if i don`t like it,eh?

A coat of paste or bee's wax might help with the grip.
And yeah, bring a screw driver next time to get those shots into the X ring!

doncha think it`s high time she got some exercise?
Looks just like harry`s, plinking away in the back yard with light loads, convinced me i wanted one. just had a hard time choosing between 38/357 and 45acp/45colt. and yea, i`ll shoot it a lot more before i dare to mess with those grips.

Nice Blackhawks gents:)
In regards to checkered grips, I actually like the ones that came on my New Vaquero (.45 Colt).
A coat of paste or bee's wax might help with the grip.

I get a chubby every time I see those. I dig stag. I like Birdshead handles a lot too. Those would sure provide a nice grip. Can still roll but not slippery.

What is it about single actions that makes the juices flow? Damn those guns look nice.
