As much as I love my CM9 I am finding that the mag release is noticeably rusting. I carry her everyday either in a leather holster or pocket. Does Kahr offer a stainless mag release? I hate rust on my weapons! Thanks.

Stainless would be nice, but Kahr does not make one.
Faced with a similar issue, especially in the little grooves, I pulled my catch, cleaned it carefully, cold blued it, and followed up with a little black Rust-Oleum applied with a Q-tip. That was last year about this time. So far, it is rust free.
Cold blue does NOT offer any rust protection. So, satin black Rust-Oleum, extracted from the spray can I use on my mail box, gets the credit. :D
you can clean it up, try some paint as suggested, or use something like KG coating on it. That stuff will not come off. A small part like that can be dipped, dried and baked very easily.

PMJ9 has been in my pocket 24/7 for over 5 years, never rusted ever. Why don';t u email kahr attn: Jay and present it to him and ask if he will send u a new catch, who knows, ur catch u have might have alittle more Iron in it than should be. 995 here never have an issue. It is IMO no big deal for one can work around it, We seemt o have done that for years when there was never stainless guns.
these guys here have already listed some quick fixes...Even stainless can rust, and sometimes it is ones body chemistry that comes to the front more than utters..:amflag:

Utters aren't up front. Utters hang underneath. Boobs are up front.
My English girlfriend from Bristol disagrees
The rear sight will do the same thing, CLP and a nylon brush should take it off.
I treat each area with CLP at my bi-weekly cleanings and have avoided any further issues.

Mine doesn't show any rust yet. I was thinking the mag releases were plastic like kel-tec and glock ? tom.

I use to date a girl who had her boobs on her back. She looked a little odd but she was fun to slow dance with. On a more serious note, try a coat of Simonize on that slide release. The wax will prevent moisture from getting to the part.
