Wonder why they are forgetting about baseball bats, tire irons, pressure cookers, cars, airplanes, piano wires etc? Maybe they just haven't gotten around to them yet.

I have proposed a new fed agency to help along those lines....

The Bureau of Blunt Force Objects and Pointy Things

This agency would have full enforcement over the manufacture, sale and possession of any/all products it determines to fall under it's regulatory authority, as well as write/enforce any rule it determines necessary to comply with it's wishes of the day. The BBFOPT would also require proper warning and instructional information (in both Spanish and English .... and maybe Kenyan) be permanently stamped on all items it deems to fall under it's jurisdiction. This would include, but certainly not be limited (in any way) to: Baseball bats, golf clubs, hammers, wrenches, screw drivers, screws/nails, kitchen knives, letter openers, etc. Obviously, the list would also include most sticks and rocks, but the BBFOPT would be required to make contact with the original manufacturer in order to set up a proper enforcement system which may (for them) be totally impossible.

The manufacturer of any of these potentially deadly items would be held accountable for any misuse of their products.

Another potential new agency would be required to oversee office safety. Countless workerbees in offices across the nation suffer nasty paper cuts daily. Surely we could put safety warnings on each and every sheet of paper (printed in Spanish, English, and yes, maybe even Kenyan) for the safety of those required to handle such dangerous materials. A good and proper Surgeon General would have already made a public statement to the fact that "We need safer paper".

We should all strive for a Zero Risk Society and support these agencies

Wow, mr surveyor that sounds great. Could I apply now for a job as chief drone operator. Anyone seen with one of these deadly objects could be blown up on the spot. Unless of course he has a permit - in Kenyan. It wouldn't matter if I hit a few extra folks as they would all be guilty of something or another anyway.

How do they come up with this spew? Easy - they tap into their basest, most selfish, and immature emotions, let them fester for a couple days, and decide that since the world revolves around them anything they feel is automatically aligned with the collective and therefore should become the law of the land.

No law will be obeyed by Criminals, drug addicts or Madman.
Did I really need to tell you that or are you that brain dead?

Sure, we'll do the same with auto makers, swimming pool companies, Dr.'s and hospitals, anyone that makes baseballs bats, hammers, since combined they kill THOUSANDS, more than guns do. Just auto accidents, and Dr. and hospital mistakes thousands more people than guns do.

What those liberal idiots fail to understand is that they will be among the first to lose their freedom to speak when we lose our freedom to keep and bear arms.
