Columbia short pants

Thought I might share this, Columbia Clothing makes short pants that have an additional right side pocket that is perfect for sliding a snubby in it. I have carried a S&W 642 and Model 38 inside a Uncle Mike's "Sidekick" for years. I recently discovered that the CW9 also fits nicely in this side pocket, with the "sidekick" holster. I have about two dozen of these shorts, some with zippers on the side pocket and some without. Its not a "quick draw" carry but it works and it frees the regular right side pocket. Some like the extra side pocket to keep their extra balls :eek: , if you play golf. I also wear "camp" shirts (square tail) that provides additional concealment with these shorts. The pants were purchased at Academy .

I know that wasn't what Columbia had in mind. That's a popular tree-hugger brand... and Yuppies.

I love to fish and am a big fan of Columbia/Magellan style cargo shorts. Like you mentioned it's not for a quick draw scenario but it conceals a gun well and free's up your other pockets.
