It's now July 1st, and Colorado's new gun grabbing bill has today taken effect.
Magpul Industries announced that they would leave the state as a result of the bans (to include bans on larger capacity magazines) and they are looking around for a new state home.
But on their way out of town they decided on one last act of defiance. They announced that they would be giving away free magpul 30 round magazines to Colorado citizens one day before the ban took effect. It was a great success, and here's one article on the festivities: http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_23568023/crowds-line-up-chance-at-free-magpul-magazines
FYI Magpul has made a lifelong customer out of me. I am in the process of assembling a custom made AR-15 before a similar ban takes affect in my own state of Maryland on October 1st. You can be sure that henceforth and forever more, that when I have a choice of accessories, those accessories will always be Magpul. They stand for freedom, at a cost to their bottom line (the move will be expensive) and the least I can do is stand with them as a permanent loyal customer.
