Picked up a new CW40 for CCW and home defense.

At the range, I did not have any functional problems. Recoil is a little bit snappy and takes longer than a 9mm for follow up shots.

I had a question about the accuracy and aiming of the sights. I was at a public range and could only shoot at 15 yards. I was shooting at a 10" by 10" target and was only hitting it about 60% of the time. I usually shoot Glocks pretty good, but I was struggling with the CW40. Hopefully, I just have to get use to the longer double action trigger.

For users of the CW40, what type of accuracy do you get? Do the sights hit Point of Aim or 6 o'clock hold? I am use to point of aim.

Good your CW40 is working smoothly. Suggest shooting at 7 yds or so for a while, which is more probable for defense anyway. As for accuracy, I can usually shoot a 3" group or less even with shaky hands. The 6 o'clock method works for me. Don't try to anticipate the trigger's firing point. Just smoothly pull it and be surprised when it goes bang. CW40 is a great pistol. If you haven't yet, be sure to go through all the stickys in the Forum's New Member Area (especially jocko's Proper Prep and wintrout's Newcomer Welcome).
