I guess the guy wanted the cops to kill him. Bravo for the police captain... he didn't stand there wringing his hands, but did what was necessary.:Amflag2:

I'm your man but we'll have to shoot someplace besides Hollywood. I ain't going to California except to visit Mr. and Mrs. Old Lincoln and then it will probably be a short visit.

Hopefully not too many standing shots, I ain't good at that no more neither.

I just got low tolerance to dirt bags that mess with kids, woman, or underdogs of any kind, myself included.

My hats off to the captain for doing the right thing.

I'm amazed that they were able to get her outside.

Had that been my kids at that age it would have taken 10 cops to pull my wife off that guy. She would have cut an wrapped that dude before the cops got there.

Had to be a hell of a thing for mom.

I'm just glad the cop shot the guy otherwise it would probably be my tax dollars trying to pay for the guys rehabilitation! I'm much more ok with paying for his funeral and never having to worry about him again!

I'm surprised that the folks at Walmart didn't call in the neighborhood idiot with the cell phone camera to save the day. Guess they live in the real world.

That is just crazy, he either forgot to take his meds or something. Or he had a death wish...in which he got.

I wish ALL kidnappings had such a happy ending!! Especially ones involving children.

Ok, I'll be that guy....

Cops should've plugged the crazy thug dead as soon as they arrived on the scene and had a clear shot.
Why mess around with an obviously deranged person who could've slit the tot's throat in a split second?

Remember Kevin Costner's character Charlie Waites in Open Range - how he reacted in the big shootout finale when the bad guy grabbed his sweetheart in the alley?

(I know, just a movie)

But kudos to the LEOs for a proper ending.
