I tried to join and access the Kahr section on Glocktalk. Is it worth it? Seems like a difficult site to navigate since it is soooo big. Seems like lots of trash, but I am sure there is real good info there if you know exactly where you are going. Maybe I just need more patience.

it alot, have never posted on it. One kahr site to many for me. This kahr sight IMO is one ofthe best. One has to be really trolling to find this site, where as on the Glock talk and AR15 sites, they have their own special mfg-er section to hit on, and I sometimes thing you willget posters on there that really shouldnot b eon there and can add nothing positive to the site.

remember some posters do indeed try to just stir sh-t, no matter what site they are on. I have been on the AR15 kahr site for a number of years and they all seem to be pretty darn good guys, so I might also be worng in my assumption.

I've never been there, heard its not freindly, bunch of cutthroats. I think others here belong to that also. I just assume anything over there worth sharing they will let us know. Until this forum I never knew what a forum was, haven't visited any others. It seems I joined the best right from the start so I didn't have to shop around to find a good one.
Like it just fine right here, good people, new friends, good tips and information, minimal amount of humor( yeah right). Just fits me fine. I love you guys. (not as much as Ms Zena and MX5fan but lots.)

I tried to register at their site and they had my ip address listed as "Banned". I've never even tried to become a member before this past week. I've lurked on their before and don't think I'll miss it much.

I agree this is a very friendly Forum, the Senior's seem to be patient and understanding of the Junior's when they first become involved. I know I have really appriciated all the kindness that has been shared here at KahrTalk. The information that I have found here has been very helpful. Keep it up everyone and thank you for letting me be a part of the fun!!!!

Some of the best stuff on this site came from the Glock Talk site. I read both, participate on both, try to learn something from both. :typing:

I only read a couple of the topics on Glock Talk so the size doesn't matter much. Their firearms for sale listing is a good place to shop as there's lot's of turnover.

I will give Kudos here; the best feature I've ever seen on any forum is found on this one... that is the New Posts link. I love it. I wish every forum had one.

Exactly why I tried to join it... Kahr info and firearms for sale.

I have read on GT before but never posted. This site is a very friendly and very informative site. I also like that if a new person offers some knowlege it is not automatically assumed to be wrong unless one of the oldtimers bless it. This iste doesn't dteriorate into political mahem either. The CZ site is also like this good gun owners wanting to help and hear what others have to say. Thanks Kaht talk guys and gals this is a good site.

I used to belong to a site dedicated to an Argentine handgun that was so inbread and one dimensional I could not stand it. If you had an opinion it had to be that of the Mods or the Admins or they would discount it and if you could prove it as a fact you would be labeled a troll. I stayed there long enough to sell the gun and let those 12 guys play nicely together.

There was an article titled My Gun Culture, it was either in American Handgunner, or Guns. This site fits in with what the article was talking about. I seek places like this out and patronize them exclusively. Like with my local gun shop, I may get a better price somewhere else, but it's worth it to me not to have to put up with that kind of place. I was mining the archives not too long ago and found a thread that really hit home about this place... Anyway, the people here are for the most part good people. I don't often say that.

Same thing happened to me. I'm part of many forums -- ArcheryTalk, Guns & Ammo, Mathews, etc -- and I've never had any problem. Even emailed the administrator and never heard back.

Dunno what's going on...and apparently they aren't eager to tell me. I did get some good info off the site as a "visitor," just couldn't post.

No need to look anywhere else....If the folks here cant answer a question about anything Kahr then its not worth asking....I have been a member of a number of forums about various topics and I think this is the best yet....good people, good friends, good talk and good guns....If you really want to look at an interesting but somewhat strange forum go to bobistheoilguy.com...This is a forum about auto engine oil and there is some interesting stuff there but on the other hand, some of those guys need to get a life!!!....Its almost sinful how much they get into motor oil!!!...

I was looking for this section and could not find it. Could you point me in the right direction please?

I've spent alot of time on GT. It's a good site with alot of good info....but you have to know where to look and be able to look beyond personalities. There are many an idiot to be found and many opinionated people that seem to want to cause trouble. But I don't pay attention to idiots, that's why I spend most of my time on this site.

What Kahr Section would that be on Glock Talk? I do not see one listed on their forum.

I am a member of Glock Talk in addition to Kahr Talk, Defensive Carry, CalCuns, and I visit The Firing Line occasionally. I like them all and filter out the noise as required.

I would absolutely be fumbling around in the dark had it not been for KahrTalk for how to deal with my PM9. Jocko deserves a special place of honor for his patience and advice. Of course I can say good things about many others here also, but this is not Academy Awards Night (and I didn't win anything anyway).

While this forum has helped immensely with my gun, Defensive Carry has probably saved my life sometime in the future. Their scenarios and open honest discussion about what is good and not in them is an education in itself. Plus there is a lot of other discussion there in great depth about holsters, etc. I read both every day, usually a couple times a day.

Perhaps my skin is thicker, but I don't find any of them particularily abnoxious. CalGuns is the most rowdy by far but I don't bother with the noise. Besides that's where I sold my PocketLite.

I`m a member on the Glock forum and used to visit the Kahr section before I found KahrTalk.I still use Glock but only for Glock issues. There are some really nice helpful people there but they get overshadowed by the internet tough guys. It`s a shame some people have to be like that to boost their egos.Hope we never see that here.

left hand corner of glock toak, where it says GUN RELATED CLUBS. I think the kahr club is about the 3rd or 4th down. Good group. I tried to get signed on twice in the past year+ and got back the same message that others have gotten. "banned". wrote to the adminsitratiors and never heard a thing back from them. Never been banned either, so have no idea how to ge ton the glock talk . Now I browse the kahr section there but mainly stick with this kahr fourm we have and the P380 forum also. which is a good bunch of guys, just not much action over on that forum like here..

I thought that I was a member there - registered and had an ID and password. However, when I tried to post on a thread a week or so ago, it rejected me. I decided it wasn't much of a loss, so I never followed up on it.

.

Here is a direct link
Kahr Club - Glock Talk (http://glocktalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=111)

From the Glock Talk home page, go down to the section labeled Firearms Forums

Then go down 7 topics to Gun-Related Clubs ...click on it.

This takes you to a sub forum, Kahr is the fourth one down the list.

The GT Kahr club is much less used than this forum. I think a good number of people now frequent this site.

This has turned into a good site, I enjoy it.
My other favorites are Defensive Carry, The Firing Line, The High Road, Seecamp, HKPRO, Gunbroker forum, (for laughs only :p) and Heckler Koch Forum. I probably belong to a dozen more but rarely visit them...only when I have a specific brand question usually.

If I didn't own a H&K, I would not be interested in their forum, knowing nothing about the internals of the gun, I would at best be just a reader wanting tolearn more about H & K. to many guns, to many gun forums. I have cut back alot myself,

I am new to this site also, but it has already become the one I log onto first, and sometimes the only one I read at all.

Very good guys here. Well mannered and very knowledgeable .

I deeply appreciate the kind words from all of you. I am having a rough week due to a death in the family and you managed to put a smile on my face. I set out to make sure above all that this was a friendly and relaxed site. I am glad it has turned out that way, and it is ENTIRELY due to the members.

Many, many thanks to all if you!

This may not apply, but it seems I tried to do something on GT soon after I joined and it refused me without a reason. I discovered later I had to have a certain number of posts before it unlocked. I had ignored the clubs and probably a few other sections.

I registered & started posting there about 5 years ago, but haven't been able to access it since last summer.

It's not particulary unfriendly - if you want to see cutthroat, join a political or sports forum. lol

John, you have our thoughts and prayers. We are here for you too. BTW, I know from experience, a good range session helps quite a bit too.

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing--a nice range trip to help relax. My poor wife lost both her father and grandfather in a short four months. She has accepted two flags from honor guards and we listened to taps played for both men. Of course it breaks a mans heart to see his little lady cry.

I am going to devote some time this weekend at getting out to do some fun stuff for her with the kids, but may slip off the range for a short session as well.
