:D Just curious. I am really happy with my carry system, a leather pancake
holster high and tight on my right hip.... but I am toying with the idea of
carry in the rear or front pocket of my Jeans (knowing I will need a loose
shirt hanging over).

I too like a pancake for this little gun. I have a Don Hume 721 ot that allows it to hide under a t-shirt comfortably. For quick grab and go I have a Fist K5 on the way. It's a thin kydex with thumb tab. I'll give an update after it arrives. I tried a stays put pocket holster, great value, but it has more bulk than I prefer. I think it works best as an AIWB holster or tucked between the car seat and console.

NO REAR POCKET CARRY FOR SURE, BUT FRONT POCKET IN A DESANTIS OR uncle Mikes #3 and ur good to go. U might think it prints as u know it is there but no one else does so IMO ur good to go. I have carried in jeans 24/7. Asl;ong as u have a permit, ur good to go. The cm9 or PM9 will pocket carry very easily. IMO u need not specal dress to carry it either. My jeans are nuttin special but I can tell u that levi 505 are the best for pocket carry as they have damn good front deep pockets of any jeans...
Ifur happy with ur present system. then why switch???

Yeah. I'm with Jocko. Front pocket carry is so convenient with my PM40 that the only time I use anything other than the De Santis Super Fly is when I am on my bike.

I do NOT use the flat panel, but I like the extra pocket stickiness compared to the Nemesis.
Here in Tucson, light shorts are the uniform. With slash pockets it is very easy to draw and I have never had anyone say anything about it . . . not even my British friends who are averse to guns.
When the temperatures are cooler, Dockers, which also feature slash pockets, are similarly convenient.
Even if you are happy with on the waist carry, it is nice to have the option of pocket carry for times when an extra shirt layer is awkward or looks out of place.
Just my opinion, of course. And probably worth every cent you paid for it. http://home.mindspring.com/~justsomeguy/icon_lol.gif

I carry my P380 and my CM9 in my rear pocket, wearing jeans. I use the Desantis Nemesis holster, and a shirt that is long enough to cover the top of the pocket. I almost NEVER tuck in my shirt while wearing jeans.
It works really well for me.
To clarify on edit: I only carry one or the other, not both. But whichever one I carry, it's in my right rear pocket. I generally wear standard blue jeans from Old Navy.
Front pocket of my Wrangler's will just hold a PM45, and easily holds a PM9. The PM45's magazine is just barely visible, but I don't sweat it... and nobody else does either.

+1 on this. I carry PM9 with an Uncle Mike's #3 in front cargo shorts pocket. It's a beautiful thing. I have pocket holster fetish so I am also going to get a Desantis nemesis,:yo:

I haven't had much time with the Fist K5 but my initial impression is that it is very very workable. A slim efficient design that prints little and is more comfortable than the soft holsters that I've tried. Negatives so far are it's an open bottom, the retention is a bit tight and the thumb tab extends 1/4" farther than the rear of the slide. Retention should be an easy fix and doing so may make the thumb tab placement a non issue but as is it is it's a two step process to release the gun and get a proper grip.
Don't get me wrong, this is my favorite to date of my pocket holsters maybe send this one to Fist for an adjustment to the thumb tab maybe 1/2" shorter which would make it ideal. Did I mention how well it fits the pocket?

My pm9 rides in a Desantis Nemesis in the cargo pocket of my cargo shorts. It flops around a little when I walk, which is ever so mildly annoying. The ease of the rig though (throw in pocket, success) is a good compromise. I do feel that it will be a little tougher to draw from the lower cargo pocket.
I've got an iwb coming from Crossbreed at some point (ordered back in May...) that I hope to use for non-cargo shorts & pants. I've found some of my regular style pockets are a little shallow even for a pm9 to conceal all the way.

Count me in as liking the DeSantis Nemesis, but the PM9 also wears well in the Galco M7X and the PJ IWB and the Galco Ankle Glove.

Just got the Nemesis and now I am torn between that and the Uncle Mike's #3. Nemesis is a bit tighter in the pocket, very little movement. However, not all pockets are made equal so I feel they will get equal use in various pairs of shorts.

I carry my CM9 in an Uncle Mike's number 4, RF pocket in jeans or shorts. The poster that carries in a cargo pocket should move it to the front pocket and note the difference. No banging. YMMV. tom.

I carry a P380 in my r.f. pocket in a PJ Holster pocket holster with thumb break. The gun doesn't print even when wearing light Khakis. My CM9 is carried AIWB in a PJ Holster holster. I wouldn't carry any gun in a back pocket. It's too hard to access and if you are made, too easy for someone else to access. If you have eyes in the back of your head like my dear sweet mother, you can disregard the last. :)

I bought this a couple of years ago. very well made and the thumb pushoff is a huge advantage on the draw.

front pocket desantis or uncle mikes #3. rear pocket forget abour ir. JuST SAYING. That little gun is IMO very pocketable in jeans. I might add that levi 525 have the best deep pockets of any levi brand.

PJHolster's Pocket holster, with thumb push off & pocket hook make the weapon draw fast & easy. I switched from the Galco Pro to the PJ, best front pocket holster IMO. It also will never lose it's shape or go flimsy on you. Little more costly, but worth it. Like Jocko says, just slip it in your pocket & forget about it...nobody will notice. Carry my CM9 every day with a tucked in golf shirt. :D

I've been using my Mika square cut .38 pocket holster which believe or not works great for front pocket carry. I also I sometimes use a Blade Tech revolution for outside the waist carry for the little PM9.

I guess I'm going to be the odd man out. Is it doable? Yep. But I don't like it. It works great in a front pocket until you sit down, at which point it looks like a huge wallet in your pocket and definitely noticeable. Having said that, I've only tried it with the PJ pocket holster and a Stays Put, which is similar to the Nemesis.

I carry my CM9 in my front pocket in a Kramer Pocket Holster. When I first received this holster I did not like it and actually put it up for sale. After it began to break in, I started to like it. Now that its fully broken in, I love it. I will say its on the thick side and probably would not work for everyone but for me it's perfect. Also, it is fairly pricey for a pocket holster.

I pocket carry my CM9 around the house (when I'm not in the mood to wear a belt) and I just put it in a Remora size 3B holster (http://www.remoraholsters.com/No_Clip_Holsters.html) and drop that in my front right pocket. It keeps the gun clear of lint and dirt and it's handy to just stick in my waistband if I want to walk out to the mailbox.

I mostly right front pocket my PM9 in a modified by me Alabama Kydex holster. I'll only wear my shirt out ifin it is not long enough to have to be cleared to get to the gun.
Pocket carry like any carry position has its pluses and minuses. I do know of one SD incident where having the gun in the strong side front pocket was the perfect position for the situation. ;)

I have 3 variations of the Remora holsters for my CM9 and CM40 that can be used for pocket carry. They are a little bulky but are comfortable and very versatile.
I ordered a Kydex Alabama pocket holster a few weeks ago. I haven't recieved a confirmation from them yet, only my paypal confirmation. The lead time is 6-8 weeks long according to their web site, so I wait. Hikock45 seems to like them so I thought I'd give it a try.
On a side note, I have a panther concealment iwb holster on it's way. They have excellent customer service and quality control. They have a very good reputation and a large following, especially down here in FL.
I continue - as I already stated in this thread - to front pocket carry, no holster, just the PM45. Nothing else goes in the pocket, except my hand to get the pistol out when I go to sleep.
I continue to feel that its safe with the Kahr action, requiring the long and heavier trigger pull. I would no do so with a Glock or other short pull pistol, or any single action hammerless pistol.
Yesterday I got made, for the 2nd time in a few years, by an off duty and Glock armed PBSO deputy named Roth, who proceeded to try to give me some greif at the ATM while I was putting in a few weeks worth of business checks. Both times, its been LEO's that have made me out, but the outline of the PM45 in the pocket is not hard to see. Most folks in these parts are so worried about themselves and how they look, they don't give me any recognition at all... which is just fine. So I'm still pocket carrying.

Anyone use a Sneaky Pete? I was told these were great. Kind of concealed by being out in the open (like a big cell phone or PDA case).

Don't have one but thought about Sneaky Pete. I would think it is best worn in the open with a tucked shirt otherwise IWB or pancake under coat would be preferable. Not saying, just asking

I used to carry my PM40 pocket in a www.pocketholsters.com (http://www.pocketholsters.com) leather holster (Bottom) . It worked well, but is a little heavy and bulky in the pocket for me compared to the S&W Bodyguard 380. Now I carry my PM40 IWB most of the time in a Remora....very comfortable. If I do pocket carry, I will carry my wife's S&W Bodyguard 380 in a pocket holster that I made myself (top of photo). Very simple leather project. It is in your pocket, so it don't need to be all that pretty...just functional. See the photo attached.

I carry my MK9 in a Desantis nemesis in front pocket. It's a lot heavier than the CM/PM, so I think carrying one of those would be a breeze. I wear jeans, and I always tuck in my shirts. Does it print? Yes, but I have a permit, so I don't really care. It's concealed. Been doing it for a long time now, and I think only a couple people MAY have noticed, but didn't say anything.......................

CM9 in a Blackhawk holster unless I'm in real lightweight clothes then it's a PT738. Both ride real well.
