I have been married to a wonderful gal for 29 years, but she never had any interest in shooting. A few months ago, she decided she wanted a gun. She picked out a little Charter Arms .38. Finally came in and today we went to the range together. She likes her .38 but LOVES my S&W 22A. On the way home she wanted to stop and get her own range bag, electronic muffs, targets, etc!

That's excellent, DKC. That kind of companionship is great, isn't it?

after shooting that charter hand cannon, she shoud love that 22A.. Corbon makes a nice defense 38sp glazer round for that charter. I carry um in my J frame model 60. charter makes a nice 22 pathfinder in the same frame style as her 38. she would be shooting the same grip style and feel gun as her 38 spl:Amflag2: Pleasse tell me u did not buy her that pink 38 fokker for her though:Amflag2::Amflag2::Amflag2::Amflag2:

Really cool that she is digging the range time! I shoot with my wife all the time and she enjoys it quite a bit.

That's kind of pretty, never seen those before.
Whatever it takes to make your mate a shooting partner is a good thing.
Ah.... true love. Does it last forever? Or does it just seem like forever......

Now you've gone and done it. Do you realize how much this is going to cost you? I'm not talking dollars and cents here, but the cost to you pride the first time she out shoots you. It's something that you can never live down. All of the excuses in the world won't help. Even if it happens just once you can never live it down. Well, all that I can say is that you brought it upon yourself. You can only hope that it doesn't happen too often. You've created a monster! :)

My wife expressed an interest too. She, and my daughter, took an NRA pistol safety class a couple of weeks ago. My daughter wants to get her own .22 pistol now.
That's great that your wife shows an interest in shooting & gun ownership. Lost my hunting, shooting, and fishing buddy about 5 years ago to cancer. She owned a browning 20 ga o/u that we bird hunted with and when she asked for that $600, ss ruger mk III with a pink tac solutions upper at a gun show I opened my wallet. She was always by my side outdoors when her health allowed.

Alfonse, check out the S&W 22A, it's got great sights and trigger. Mine devours any brand of ammo and runs like a champ.

Many years ago, my Wife, if asked, thought everything/anything was more important than going to the range.
Then I learned not to ask if we should go shooting but state that I was going to the range and she was welcome. The funny thing was 99% of the time she went and she burned through more ammo than anyone else...
When we found Trap & Skeet shooting she went all in, enjoying the time and friendly atmosphere of our club.
Enjoy the time together and yes, find her a nice .22 that is ergo correct for her hands soon.

wife of 28 years been shooting since the start! 2 daughters with CCW permits family fun!! The new CM 9 is really my wife's!

That really sucks. A loss like that helps us realize how precious life is, and how quickly our time passes.
I bet you're happy you spent time doing things together, while you could.

Hopefully you reload and can load up some wadcutters. If not, get some when you see them. They will shoot much like a .22 in her gun. They also will work for self defense if needed.
