Plating flaking

Took apart the slide for the first time and noticed the plating on the firing pin is flaking off. Should I leave it or buff it off?

Hi CW9 Covert, Post this over in the P and CW section and you will get a bunch of answers and support....Nobody looks at this section much as it's for forum issues like ParrotHead said....Perhaps the Colonel will spot this and be so kind as to move it over there for you or you can just repost it if you want....Welcome to Kahrtalk, you found the right place for answers to questions like this one.....(I would buff it clean and re use it myself)

photo to kahr; attn Jay, they will send u a new one, u can buff it off but again they will send u a new one also. First I have ever seen do that. Had to be a bad plating jobn as there is just no real friction there. Kahr will send u one, do it right and then u can sleep better. Just sayin
