Hi, long time lurker here, I just bought a new cm9 and have a ? Or two.
My barrel hood has rough machine marks on it is this normal?
The gun functions fine and has not jammed once, seems to be a good gun.

I just got a new cm9 and I did not see any marks on my barrel hood or slide. I do have some machine marks inside of slide and on breach. I put my cm on a postal scale and it weighs 15.25 oz with out mag and 16.90 oz with mag. My owners manual says 14 oz no mag and 15.90 with mag. I know its only 1 oz. On line most say it is 14 oz. You have a scale to check, just curious to see if they all vary a oz hear and their. Over all a great gun paid $380 and $420 OTD From Davidsons gun genie

1 if you are talking about machining/fabrication marks on the entire hood surface, yes that is normal. You can see them in many of the pictures in the favorite Kahr picture thread (in the discussion forum)

2 if you are talking about rub marks where the top of the barrel hits the slide, that is not unusual either nor a problem. There's very little clearance there. I just buff them smooth.

Enjoy.

Mine had some also, but I polished up the barrel especially the breech and end where it is seen. Added some bling.

yea thats what im talking about, just little straight lines all across the hood, i knew them to be machine marks but wanted to know if anybody else see this...took the gun apart and cleaned it, shot is some and it functioned perfectly, i can even load it by just pulling the slide back and not using the slide release.

seems fairly accurate, the barrel was somewhat offset at the muzzel where the half moon gap is, didnt look equal when i got it. After shooting is some it seems to be getting aligned correctly. now if i dont get the busted follower thing going on the gun will be perfect out of the box....I learned all this stuff from this forum and it has been a great help.

paid 425 otd for it at local gun shop......i love it.

My Porch don't got no glove box but it is equipped with a rocking chair, an old wo out sofa with holes in the seat and a ice box with a NRA sticker proudly displayed....Runs real good, (ice box) that is....:amflag:
