The article said that when the researcher & photographers searched for survivors they couldn't find very many still alive. And yet the ones they found are all great examples of lives with interesting stories to tell ... stories that very few people living today would care about at all.

My Uncles John and George are still alive. I could listen to the stories about WWII all day long and sometimes do! They aren't easy to get started, but when they do they aren't very easy to stop. I'm on a first name basis with most of their comrades in arms. I can't imagine going through what they went through. They are our nations greatest generation.
