View Full Version : Anyone got an "any other weapon"?
Been considering a 6" Remington 870 three shot, with pistol grip of course. These are classified as Any Other Weapon... and need a $5 stamp to be legal.
Thing is... anyone ever transferred one of those? Whats it take? Seems like a nice truck option, in a nice little scabbard next to the seat - legal for me in Florida.
Just wonderin'....

Before to buy one try shooting your standard twelve gauge from the hip. Aim at a target and see how easy it is to control. I like my shotguns with a buttstock.

Ouch! I do not like pistol grips on shotguns, but a shorty like that would be very convenient. I like the one that Mel Gibson had in "Road Warrior".
I have regularly shot my Remingtons with 18" barrels from the hip with pistol grip. At self defense ranges, they're good, and the recoil is a non issue for me as the gun tends to swing back. The problem may arive with a pure one handed or modified two hand hold on such a small gun.
What really wanna know about is how to transfer the AOW... what you have to open yourself up to... how long it took, etc etc etc.
