Folks, I just got back from Deltona and Sanford.
I can report that that there were numerous DHS armored vehicles, tan in color and clearly marked DHS, parked at various points along Florida 46 on Saturday afternnoon. Rt 46 goes thru a lot of wetland and there are three or four bridges spanning wetland and a river. At those bridges are various "boating access points" usually one on each end of the bridge. In those lots - where trucks could be parked with boat trailers - were DHS armor and a multitude of Florida Highway Patol tan and brown police cars. My guess is they planned to close the road to all traffic with armor and state police in the event of civil unrest due to the Zimmeran trial.
(edit) - I know nothing about armored vehicles, but after doing some Googling, it looks like they were some form of the Stryker - four big wheels on the side and what looked like a Ma Deuce on top with some additional armor there. Dunno what DHS has been buying lately, but this looked "formidable".
