Heya all, what does a fixed feed ramp look like to stop the damaged followers?
my newer cm9 kinda has a notch out of the bottom of the feed ramp on the right side, it does not go straight across at the bottom.

Got pics?

At least in the case of my PM40, the shape is the same before and after removing a little material. I used a rubber abrasive polishing wheel in a Dremel. With a light touch, you can achieve a mirror finish just using the wheel.

I like having a warranty. So, I was determined to make the increased clearance as invisible as possible . . . hence my polishing slowly with the rubber abrasive wheel, following the original contours, and then a light polish of the entire ramp with jeweler's rouge to make it look like new.

You don't need much additional clearance so making the ramp look like nothing was done to it was quite easy.

If you have never done anything like this in past or don't have a fine, rubber abrasive for the purpose, just send it in. That's my advice . . . and worth every penny you paid for it. http://home.mindspring.com/~justsomeguy/icon_lol.gif
