View Full Version : broken follower lol bah humbug.
well it got me too, just had about 200 rounds through her and was loading it up and noticed a chunk out of the follower.....thing is the gun still runs 100% no jams and still accurate. the mag seems to work fine, even on the last round so in that i guess i got lucky. what are my steps now?

i couldnt get through, guess there busy getting people mag followers...:p
i emailed them. i hate this cause i really like the little gun. it still works 100 percent too tho.
you know this has me thinking i could just trim a little off the bottom of the follower where the contact is and let it ride.........

why not send two to the customer since they know the "one" replacement is bound to break as well....?
why not go to a steel follower and be done with this design flaw? they finally went to the steel mag catch....hint hint...

IMO, nawdon't do that. test out the next one and see how it does. Ifit breaks again u have a problem HOUSTON. fix it right, Kahrsturn around is fast and u will have confidence restored. No sin in sending sumpin back to get right. Sometimes these little bastards are so tightin tolerance that it takes somerounds for a gun to loosen up and get really smooth and then most of the time that is just enough to give that gun the added extra area to not bust followers.... Kahr knows whatis causing it, andI would liketo think they are working on a fix before they send out a new gun. Weused to see alot of busted magazines atthe back, thatnow seems to have been corrected, this follower thing will soon dissappear to.
U got a dandy quality gun there, so makeit perform the way it was designed to..

It is not a defective follower, and a steel one, one might think would solve the issue but if the feed ramp is slaming into that follower, which we know thatis what is causing that. then a steel follower might take some beating but sumpin else is gonna go wrong if it contines. The polymer followers are under zero stress if the feed ramp would leave it alone. Most kahrs have no issue here but every kahr that goes back for that issue the feed ramp is modified, and that takes care of that issue..

i do agree, tho i may take the sharp edges off of the break and continue to use it until i get my replacement. Jay emailed me right back and is sending one out. very pleased with the customer service.

How is the feed ramp modified? Do they remove material with a dremel tool?
