Ted Nugent had this to say about NOT being able to defend yourself:
GUN QUOTE
"To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic." - Ted Nugent

While I prefer to keep my campaign focused on preserving our rights (not just gun rights -- because so many people have an unnatural fear of firearms), Uncle Ted is a master at articulating the importance of a polite, armed society. And at getting the message out to America. Bravo Ted!
Great post!

I like Ted and what he usually has to say but as history has shown, he's only one small foot in his mouth away from being marginalized as a nutburger.
When he's on, he's dead on, but when he's off, he's way out there.

I certainly agree that Ted's style and personality could easily brand him a "nutburger". (great term by the way) However none of his opinions, that I've heard to date, have been off track. Maybe I just missed them. Meanwhile, I appreciate his message and just hope that America listens to his words vs. getting caught up in his delivery.

His past already haunts him. Libs use his story about not taking a bath for a couple months and shitting his pants for a week before appearing before the draft board, thus getting him a 4-F, and he got out of the Viet Nam war. I guess he is ostracized for not doing it the "proper way", run and hide in Canada and smoke dope with the hippies. He now says that's just a story he told to some reporter he didn't like, and the story has taken on a life of it's own. The libs throw that out constantly when he goes on an pro-gun rant, and the lib has nothing intelligent to say, they drag that old story up and toss it out, like - how can you listen to someone that did that. Well, for one thing, he didn't lie about it and cover it up for years.
