Well, I'm still shopping for accessories for my newest additions, but thought I would share some pictures and report my progress.
Wifey and I had a table at the gun show last weekend and the first day was pretty good... sold the redundant G19 Gen 3 and bought the G21 SF that I wanted, as well as a new Looper Kydex-reinforced Gun Belt in size 34". I have a 38" and the 36" was too long... tongue getting in the way of phone and mag-holder. We left with more money than we took... or I spent. So that was a good day. Sunday was slower and I made money on ammo... my best seller and the real profit.
I have guns to shoot and test and more info on the gun show... which we're going to do again... different show this next weekend. Wifey liked the idea and suggested exhibiting at that one, too, since we're already kind of packed for it! :D
I tried to buy the G21 SF through my FFL dealer, but he couldn't get one. I found the best cash deal there and got it for $571 "out the door". I probably could have beat that deal at Shooters, since they were selling Gen 3 Glocks for $529+tax+NIC when I was there yesterday.
Anyhow, some pictures! First the Mech Tech Glock CCU:

Now some "family" pictures of the Pistols and the companion carbine. I have the 27-round Korean mags for the G21. I have no idea how reliable they will be, but seems like there are only a few options. I did see another 26-round version... slightly different.
The Mech Tech Carbine Conversion Unit with Glock 21 Short Frame lower is pictured with the G21 SF, the G23C with Trijicon HD NS Orange FS, and "Wifey's" G19 Gen 4. Most need sights and I definintely need an extended slide release for the G21... the stock one just isn't usable!. I have ordered a lot of parts... spares and improvements... and I have a lot more to order. I will put the HD NS with Yellow FS on the G21 SF and am still thinking about what to put on the carbine... and Wifey's G19.
I still have more Kahrs... 5 polymers and the K9... and only 3 1/2 Glocks. And... my EDC's are the polymer Kahrs... ALL of them! :D
Our Glock Family Pictures follow.

Wifey and I will be selling at the gun show this weekend at the Morocco Shrine. The Glock "family" is replacing a few other weapons and I need to recoup some money that I've been spending on all of this "stuff".
She liked... might be a strong word... doing that last weekend and suggested this weekend, too. I was already thinking of the August 20 show at Prime Osborne... but ony if we have enough "stuff" left... guns and ammo... and OVER-priced magazines, among other things. Supply caught up with the demand on Glock magazines and many were being sold for less than my "retail" purchases. :(
Those might come in handy NEXT time... or when the SHTF for barter. I have more than a few more than I "need".:D
I need to get going here and get ready for the next show... more stuff to buy!
Maybe I can get around to shooting some next week!

I s'pose I ought to go to at least one gun show in my life time, just to say I did. My daughter has a sleepover Sat/Sun at our house, so if I need an excuse to run far far away maybe I'll go check it out.

I did get a few more doodads ordered today... Ghost 3.5 connector for the carbine, Ghost extended slide release for the pistol, and Trijicon HD NS Yellow Front Sight for the G21. The carbine has a different upper and doesn't use the lower's slide release. I did get it an extended slide lock and extended magazine release. The mag release on the pistol seems large enough.
I still need to decide on what grip plugs to get for the 21's. There's a wide range of prices and even a toolkit, but $20 is a bit much!
I'm trying to sell three more pistols and my tactical shotgun to replace money spent on the Glock Family. :D
I got in my Tactical Kydex order of magazine holders today from Mitchell over at GlockTalk. It was a large order to cover the 2" web belts and 1 1/2" CCW belts for both the 9/40's and the .45's. I still need something for the 27-round magazines:D
I need to get started on dinner, too. Lamb chops, yellow rice, and green peas tonight... with a bottle of 2007 Castle Rock Cabernet Sauvignon... from Napa Valley. That was a good year there. I hope this wine is.

The combo is heavy and I think that I made a mistake going with the telescoping stock. I'm worried about not having a "comfy" place for my cheek!
I was thinking about having the most compact option, but the telescoping stock doesn't look user friendly with no place for my cheek and no "recoil" pad... emphasis on the pad. I may contact Mech Tech about a swap on the stock or at least order the M4-type adapter and look for something more friendly to my face.
I installed an extended magazine release and the extended slide lock and am waiting on the Ghost 3.5 connector for it. My Trijicon HD NS Yellow comes in today for the G21 SF, so when I get time, the only thing missing is the grip plugs.
Wifey and I are selling at the gun show this weekend and I'll be looking for some kind of sights. I have the 2x7 power NcStar "Sniper Scope" that I got for my 10/22, but it's really an AR-15 scope and probably not so good for the .45 ACP, either. :D
I also have a cheap BSA red/blue/green dot thingy that I got for my Gamo .22 shot/rifle with only a front bead. I just haven't had the time to try stuff out.
When we get through THIS show, I'll have more time. I'll be down to my last box Federal VP525 after this show. I shall have sold 6 out of the 8 I bought back in February last year for the new 10/22. I've been buying .22 at merely $10 over normal or only DOUBLE. I have to consider the cost and shipping for pricing, but generally I'll sell a brick for $20 less. I don't charge as much as most of the ammo sellers, but I still feel a little guilt!
I added pix of my ammo cans for the gun show. My most popular seller is the re-packaged Federal .22. Most people buy two of those at a time. I did sell my last four Sunday to a guy that I had talked with who came back to get some for his buddy. I sold the last four to him for $40. I'm such a softy!
I figure that I'll have a lot of the higher priced stuff left to shoot, as I have tried to buy stuff that works in my TSG-22 conversion. The 10/22 and 22/45 will eat just about anything.
I still have to get a holster for the G21 SF, too, but my order of mag holders from Tactical Kydex came in, so I'm covered for 9/40 and .45 with singles and doubles in 1 1/2" belt sizes and 2" for my web belt. I need something for the 27-round .45 mags, though!
The Gun Shows are fun... get to talk a lot about favorite topics and meet a lot of people... plus liberate some of the excesses in money tied up in guns and related stuff!

I'm pretty busy today, but I just had to see what this was like. G21 SF with 13+1 + 3x13 + 2x27= 107 rounds of .45 ACP = about 9.5 pounds as shown! The mag carriers are not "ideal" for the TALL mags... and I can think of other things to add to the belt... but now sure if there's room for cell phone and stun gun and other accessories!

Hey! I lost over 35 pounds and had to buy my third Looper Kydex-reinforced gun belt last weekend. I had to adjust this web belt several times today. I got a 34" after the 36" that replaced the 38" became too long as well. That extra tongue length gets in the way of my normal carry accessories... cell phone, light, extra ammo and so on.

Woohoo! UPS just delivered my new sights for the G21 SF: the Trijicon HD NS Yellow FS.
I'll have to wait on installation with my Sight Pusher, though, too much to do today! I have to go turn in my DVRs and stuff from Comcast... switched back to AT&T yesterday. My Internet speed falls from 55+ Mbps down and 11+ Mbps up to substantially less, but I'll live!
I need to get up and moving toward getting ready for the gun show tomorrow!

We just got back from the gun show and I've been too busy to do anything. I hope to test some things next week. I loaded the mags up to full capacity for one night and then removed 2 rounds from each. I hope that helps them operate without problems.
I didn't sell any guns and the air conditioning in the main part of the building went out! I hope they get it fixed for tomorrow. I'm taking a fan tomorrow... just in case!
This show is much smaller than last weekend's show and the tables were only $60 vs. $85 for the Fairgrounds. Admission was $6 instead of $8, too. I hope that tomorrow is better! I did sell ONE Glock G21 magazine... amazing, since others were selling them more cheaply.

Ok wynn. You may have started something. Glockmeister has complete lowers. I haven't called yet to see if they are in stock. But that seems a better option than buying a whole gun and wasting the slide. Do you recommend a full size or compact frame? I plan on using extended mags either way. Are they pricey?
Thanks.

Dang! I missed your question somehow. I haven't been very active here since getting very active with local gun shows and getting ready for them.
I did finally get to the range on Friday the 2nd last week. I took my new toys... the G21 SF and the G21 SF-based Mech Tech Carbine to try them out. Unfortunately, they wouldn't allow the carbine because the barrel wasn't original length... as in SHORT BARREL RIFLE! They hope that a range backstop upgrade in the future will allow that. I think that there are many magnum handguns that already have more "performance" than my .45 carbine with a 16" barrel.
Anyhow, I did shoot the G21 SF and had a few problems with the 27-round mags and then some failures of the trigger to reset. Taking the pistol apart and a few drops of Tetra oil took care of that. I need to go ahead and polish the trigger bar and parts. Prior to the range trip, I did put the 3.5 Ghost Connector in, as well as the extended slide release and mag release.
I noticed a propensity of the recoil rod to rise out of the notch at the flange end and impeded slide removal a bit. I have to push up on the exposed part of the recoil spring and rod to get the slide off. I'm not sure if the gun is functioning with the guide rod out of place. I checked that the recoil spring/rod part number is the same as the spare part that I got for it, so I don't know why my pistol has a problem with the flanged end staying in proper place. It's ALWAYS out of position in slide removal.
I chose the Short Frame version for the pistol and the lower for carbine because the grip is a tiny bit smaller in circumference at the top and probably a better fit for my hand. I got the new lower off Gunbroker for $285... no other bids... and after CC fee and shipping + FFL, it cost me a total of about $336. I saw the upper for sale, too, and the dealer parting out the pistol was making a bundle over selling the complete pistol... lower, upper, 2 mags, case and whatever else.
I have to go move the water hoses! More in a bit!

I got my LT-9 and LT-45 LaserLyte training carts back yesterday. They work but don't seem to shoot to point of aim. I tried different orientations of the cartridge, rotating the cart with the label for reference. I can get the hits in line with the target and get hits on the Reaction Targets by shooting just below 6 o'clock off the bottom of the target... not ideal but usable. I'll have to compare the scope and the laser boresighter on the carbine and see what works for it. I need to get the scope in the ballpark for the carbine. It's an AR-type scope that I got for my 10/22. I just ordered a decent .22 scope for the 10/22 and see through mounts. The danged factory-included rail-mount blocks the rear sight... kind of short-sighted!
I loaded up those 27-round Korean .45 mags with 27 rounds and left them overnight, then removed two from each and left them loaded for range use. i took two of those mags to the range and tried them in the G21. The first one had 5-7 or so malfunctions with feeding... FTFs with live rounds captured pointing up by the bolt and the top of the receiver... sometimes there was another round in the chamber... WTF? I just cleared the malfunctions and kept shooting until the mag was empty and them put all of the unfired rounds in the mag and shot them without further malfunctions.
The second mag went 23 shots without problems and one FTF on round 24, which I reloaded and finished the last two rounds. I think the mags need a little TLC and breaking in... IF I ever figure out how to get one apart! I can at least run fine sandpaper over the feed lips and check for excess plastic around those.
I bought 5 of those from CDNN for $19.99 each and little or no shipping costs depending on the "deal" at the time. They definitely can work, but will require breaking in and some record of reliability before defensive use. I have plenty of G21 mags from Ivanhoe for $24.95 each and $7.50 shipping on 7 of those.
It was fun shooting the G21 and recoil was no problem, even with the Underwood +P 230-gr Gold Dots... a nice load for full-sized .45's! i've been busy with a lot of other stuff and still haven't sorted out the video and still, etc. from that range trip, but I'll post a few for now.
I fired 75 Winchester White Box 100, 126 Federal Champion VP100, and 22 Underwood +P Gold Dots. The first two were FMJ and the last were Gold Dots... all 230-grains. Recoil was very manageable with the full-sized Glock. The total for break in was 233 rounds. :)
The first magazine of 13 was fired from a rest to check out my sight installation. Using a Laser Boresighter, I kept moving the rear sight to the right a bit... many times... trying to cause minimal movement... not overshoot, and it seemed that they were too far to the right... just right of centered, but if anything, they could have been a tiny bit farther to the right, but they are pretty close. The front sight placement could be the culprit there, as they had a lot of wiggle room, but I tried to hold them centered as I tightened the screw, but I was more concerned with them being in line with the bore axis or slide.

Now a sequence of 5 frames from at rest to slide lock firing the G21 with a 27-round magazine.
I haven't tried the 33-round 9mm mags, but there was a group of "Gangsta-wannabes" at the other side of the range firing a G19, I believe, as fast as they could pull the trigger and reload... mag after mag. I waited to open the door as I was leaving watching two of the guys videoing one of the others rapidly firing away. While I was checking out and shopping a bit, one of the store guys finally went into the range to check on those guys. They had easily fired several hundred rounds as rapidly as they could.

I don't spend a lot of time "aiming" and my eyes can't focus that well on the sights for alignment, so I aim the first shot and then point a lot... jerking the trigger every which way to keep from tearing up the bullseye too much.
I really can't see that I need to adjust the HD Night Sights any. I can sprinkle both sides of the vertical line through the bull!

Well, I still haven't fired the Mech Tech carbine, but I got in my new M-4-type stock today to replace the telescoping one. There were lots of choices, but I finally decided on an Israeli-made one from CDNN. I think they know how to make milspec stuff better than the Chinese knockoffs. I bought a cheap wrench and rubber recoil pad as well. The pad was made in China and I had to use a scalpel to make it fit and look correct.
I still need a better sighting system for the .45 ACP. The scope is a nice one for an AR .223-type and not the 10/22 I bought it for. I'll try to peddle it at the gun show this weekend. I'm waiting on a real .22 scope and see-through mount for my 10/22 that I ordered from Optics Planet on 5 August. I sent a query and they finally shipped it YESTERDAY! I hate waiting so long for anything!
Anyhow, some more pictures. The rack doesn't fit the carbine. I threw it together to display my tactical shotgun at the gun show this weekend.
I cut the "Made in Israel" sticker off the plastic bag that the stock came in and laid it on the stock.:D
So far, not counting sights, I have about $1,200 or more in the carbine, counting the 5 27-round magazines. I coulda' had an AR10! The M4 stock and adapter cost me about $100 of that. I could have gotten the M4 stock from Mech Tech.

Nice carbine Wynn.
JohnR, you should definitely get to a gun show one of these days. Hey! I was that way before it seemed we wouldn't be able to choose anything like Glocks before too long! I bought 5 1/2 in no time, starting in February this year, and sold two to wind up with what I wanted/needed... 3.5 with the carbine using a G21 SF lower.
I put Ghost 3.5 connector/triggers in all of them, as well as the necessary extended slide releases and mag releases, to make them easier to use. I've spent close to $3000 on magazines... I like 10-12 or more per gun... as well as over 61 for sale at present... over $2K. I went nuts over Glocks! I hope to sell all of my "extra" mags and firearms this weekend at the gun show.
I still can't see trying to CCW with one... unless conditions dictate more firepower. Kahrs are my only choice for CCW, but I have 5 polymers to choose from and use them all.
