Stage 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRa9CR0JI9E. I alpha charlied the stage, but took too much time on the steel. It's like I'm all bang, bang, bang and then I do a mental reset and then hit the steel.

Stage 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYq9xL7KTZQ

Me too, love watching them and my hats off to ya for getting in the game and working at it. Many wish, talk about and say we're gonna do it but we never seem to get around to it.

Your in it. You go girl!

Thanks everyone! I'm seeing little improvements each month. Right now, my biggest hurdles seem to be nerves, stage planning, and speed. My accuracy seems to be pretty good except on steel. This weekend I shot 90% of available points. That's my best so far.

Hey Mellissa, I'm home so I finally got to see the videos. Nice job! How far away were the steels?
By shooting these matches you are getting WAY better training than at any square range.

Is the weather such that you will be able to compete during the winter?

shoot your carry weapon!

unless you carry that decked out rig, of course. i'm assuming concealment is an issue.

it drives me nuts how many IDPA and USPSA regulars never use their carry weapons. as far as i'm concerned, sport shooting is defensive training, and practicing shooting under at least some stress (accuracy vs the timer, a bunch of people watching you)

i've actually never shot with anything other than my carry rigs, iwb, underneath an untucked t-shirt, and i keep up with the better shooters around here. have qualified expert in IDPA the last 3 years. i guarantee if i have to defend myself on the street, i'm going to draw faster and be more confident than any of the ones i personally shoot with.

suppose the **** hits the fan and you panic, instinctively reaching for your OWB race gun which isnt there because you never carry that way on the street?

on a positive note, nice shooting.
