Hello Everyone,
Ive been lurking around the forum for a couple of weeks, but didnt have anything to post until now. Ive been thinking about buying a PM9 for a month or so, but was slightly worried after reading about some of the problems some buyers were experiencing.
Anyway this weekend I went to my local Gun store and found 2 stainless steel with night sight models were available. They were the first I had seen with N-sights in a month of looking so I picked one up. I probably paid too much ($765) but I like to support my local economy.
I prepped it per the great post by Joco, racking the slide about 450 times and cleaned the heck out of it before shooting. The feed ramp looked like a mirror so I didnt polish it further.
I took it to the range and fired 100 rounds of Remington Umc. I was expecting a good bit of recoil but It wasnt bad at all. Out of 100 rounds I had one failure to feed correctly which may have been caused by me not seating the round correctly in the magazine. All in all I am very happy with my new PM9. You can feel the quality when you hold it in you hand, its shoots comfortably, and with a 99% firing success rate in the first 100 rounds iy seems destined to be very dependable!! When I fire my second 100 rounds I will update this post.

Sounds like another keeper to me. Welcome to the club. Baby pictures are highly sought after around here (A babe holding the baby, better yet, I know Jocko PERVERT!) and another range report like the first one would be music to our ears. Nice to hear good things frequently.
Good folks around here as you've already discovered no doubt. Try to curb that lurking habit and jump in when the time is right.

Hi Steve,It wouldn`t be a surprise if that one problem that you had was your only problem. Pm9s are awesome handguns and are one of the favorite guns that are discussed here.Glad you decided to join us.Don`t be a stranger.

agree, and also, it just might have been a shooter issue, getting to know the gun.....A shooter and weapon must mate up correctly for all things to work right, and these little semi's like the PM9 sometime take getting used.

the fact that he had only one FTF to me tells me the gun is really good togo.:p

How about someone invent and market a recoil spring exerciser, so we can forgo all this racking the slide business on a new gun? All the other stuff is too well lubricated to wear significantly. What is the theory, really? We speak of it as if some religious rite of passage.
