What do you get when you mix the trigger guard of a Kel Tec PMR30, the cheese grater grips of a Kahr, an accessory rail, and the useless GI sights of the Colt Mustang, and price it at $650? They say a camel is a horse designed by a committee - this is a camel designed by a non-gun-enthusiast marketing focus group.

Well, it's a self-defense gun; so the sights don't matter. The trigger guard is large enough to allow a gloved finger to enter and some folks still like to put the off-hand index finger on the front of it. And besides, who doesn't like a little grated cheese every now and then?

Looks like a photoshopped abortion to me. If that is real, it's not high on my list of must have pistols, that's for sure.
Better effort would have been to reintroduce the Python for 350 MSRP!

I hear that a lot - that sights don't matter on a close range SD pistol. Then why do they put any on? The original LCP had rudimentary sights, the Colt New Agent has kinda, sorta sights. I guess they had to fill the dovetails with something rather than machine it differently with no sights.

Some people will put a shotgun bead sight on a Seecamp but purists of Seecamp pistols say they should be shot with their own butchered pistols

A 380 as primary CCW is carried by a person who lacks the fundamental appreciation of the dynamics of self defense. As a deep cover, Ooh please God save me...maybe.

Back in the late seventies when the CIA bought a bunch of the Detonics Combat Master 45's, they specified no sights at all. Detonics created a special model called the MK VII. Here's my MK VI but it has sights, sort of.

cause they look better. probably cause most who don';t know diddly squat think sights are a must, proabalby becuase if u don't need the sights but they are there, then it is Ok but if u need to have those sights there and they are not there, then ur gonna go out and buy a gun that does. Proabably because if u just read all I wrote and can say u understand WTF I just printed, then you probaqbly should not be owning any gun anyhow--Probably:Amflag2:
Take a well designed s/a, a design good enough that SIG co-opted it after Colt dropped it when pocket .380s became really popular, and screw with it to no obvious purpose. That new Mustang is just plain funny. Can't wait for the great gun mag reviews.

Primary....of course. But a 1911 is tough to carry in shorts, t shirt, and flip flops. A lw Mustang has been staple of light clothing casual carry for me since the 90's. As well as .22 mag NAA mini.....referred to as my Speedo gun.

When was the last time you were shot with a .380?

Funny thing is I bought my Kahr P380 precisely because it had real (night) sights...
With my aim and Hornady 90grn CD ammo on board I feel safe enough and really doubt I'd find anyone to volunteer to be my target as it's just a .380.

Ya know that little "This thread is worthless without pics!" Banner?
Bet it doesn't get used in this thread.
Just saying.

I already tried....the Colonel deleted that post. It also contained an example shot of Mexican Carry with a full size, gov't 1911 wearing two dollar shorts. He said he might let me run that one it I put on some underwear first.

Never with a 380 but I have taken hits with a 45 and 357. If you had seen the autopsy reports I have you would understand my position as I the reports I have seen show a failure to incapacitate/immobilize at over 95%. The international Wound Ballistics experts also have little good to say about a 380. As an up close in your face it has some little merit. at any appreciable distance not so much. Facts are facts.

I'd love to see your autopsy reports. :spider:
