Beretta question..

Does anyone know if I can put a Beretta 92 [9mm] barell and magazine into my Beretta 96 [.40]? I thoght it would be kinda cool to have the option for both calibers in same gun; like my Glock 20 also having a .40 barrel in it. :59:

The dept went from 92's to 96's to Glock 21's. I know the magazines will work either way. I know simunition barrels for 92's worked in the 96's but I never tried swapping just a barrel.

I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work but I got absolutely nothing to back that up with. I don't have a solid answer.
