So, I have had minor issues with my P380, and at one point, Kahr changed out the frame, as it had a crack.

I would still get the gun locking back from time to time, and then I found the bullet coming up the magazine would actually strike the slide lock, so I filed it down at

It mostly did the trick, firing various types of ammo. I still think I need to take a bit off, as it did slide lock back a few times (not during the first 50 though)

Anyhow, here's a video of the Kahr p380 being shot in slow motion.

If the slide is locking back when the mag still has rounds in it you may need to adjust the spring that holds the slide stop down for more tension. It's also possible that you thumb is applying upward pressure on the slide stop causing the premature slide lock back. In that case you need to change your grip.

I had a problem with my slide locking back prematurely on my cm9. I replaced the spring, washer and screw and the problem resolved. The new spring is much stiffer and took about 25 rounds to take a set and correctly lock the slide on all of my magazine. Now it is 100%. The repair took 10 minutes and cost less than $10.

the easiest way to rule out the always accused thumb of an experienced shooter or novice is to use your left hand.... if its still locking back it is clearly a gun problem.

As you can see in the link below, the bullet is making contact with the slide lock lever. I shaved off a bit of it, after taking this picture, and it seems to have helped, as I mentioned, but it needs to be shaved a bit more.

I didn't want to take too much off, as I wanted the slide lock to work after the last shot.
