Does anyone know when black on stainless frames and slides started to be produced?
Blue carbon lasted till when?
And matte stainless came in when?
I tried to figure it out with the serial number listing, but can't tell.
Thanks,
Scott

Early on. My guess is around '97 or '98. In the early years, Kahr used black on carbon steel, matte stainless, polished stainless, black on stainless and nickeled stainless.

Blue carbon lasted till when?
Carbon lived on through the first K9s and then also as the E9 and later still as a "Special Edition" two tone. Not sure in total years, but production seemed small in number after the switch to stainless only. Perhaps carbon stocks used years after being produced, as in the special edition.

And matte stainless came in when?
Early. Certainly around '98 with the introduction of the "Elite".

By around 2000, with the addition of other models, matte stainless was king.
