Just picked up a P380. I followed the prep thread in the tech section as well as a bit of my own smoothing of some of the sharper edges left by the machining processes. Beyond that I polished the breech face, lubed with tw25 grease and added some talon grips. First trip out and 0 malfunctions with 50 rounds of Remington ball and 7 rounds of Hornady defense loads. Not exactly a torture test, but it made me a happy camper especially after hearing all the horror stories that some have had to endure.
Just wanted to say thanks to Jocko! Johnh, and all the other members who contributed to the tech forum. I have no doubt that my drama free first outing was in no small part to the prep and lube threads.

I also followed the prep and lube info. I'm now at 400 rounds without a single issue.

I'm glad to hear a good report on a P380. What you mentioned doing to the breech face I believe is more important than folks would believe. After doing my CW45 and CM9 nice and shiny I can ride the slide and still get a round to chamber.
Disclaimer: your results may vary.

After the prep work I'm able to hand cycle a full mag.
+1 on all the great prep info on this forum. I prepped my CW9 before it's first range trip and I'm somewhere around 1000 problem-free rounds (minus 2 limp wrist issues; one with my wife and the other with my son, both of which never occurred again after I "coached" them).
