I've been lusting after a HK USP Match pistol ever since Tomb Raider and Underworld.
But as I got in the market for one the going price jumped from ~$1,800 to 3-5K!
No freaking way am I paying that much for a 1999 USP with a long barrel and
a weight on the nose.
So I picked up a 2013 USP45 Tactical for $1,129, a knockoff Match weight
and a Jarvis 6.02" USP Match barrel.
HK guys loosely call this a Match Clone gun.
As I had read of others; the gun is nose heavy, long and in my hands (free hand shooting) not noticeably more accurate.
Truth be known, I prefer the gun as a factory Tactical.
I did convert to LEM Match Hybrid.
And am adding a suppressor height Ameriglo front sight.
But the Tactical is one sweet gun in factory trim.
There's a reason HK stopped making the Match guns.

If someone is interested in a high end HK?
I highly recommend the USP Tactical.
It's match grade trigger and adjustable target sights make for a real tack driver.

As for The Barrel Report?
My Jarvis barrel is drop in, fits perfect and appears to be of the highest quality.
It matches the factory USP Tactical barrel in accuracy and has had no feeding problems so far.

Barth recommends Jarvis.
That is all..

Have you had an opportunity to try a USP Elite? This model has the same 6.02" barrel, the match trigger (which is excellent) and features the slim, lighter weight slide. It was the most accurate centerfire pistol I've ever used. They also sold for low prices, (by HK standards). Like the USP Match, sadly the Elite is also no longer made.

I haven't had the pleasure.
The Match, Expert and Elite all seem to go for a premium these days.
I normally don't go the inexpensive route.
But I read enough folks that felt, for the money,
the USP Tactical is the best bang for the buck.

It may not equal an Elite in accuracy.
But I can comfortably carry the 5" Tactical.
I'm not sure I could carry an Elite?
