Not the greatest pics but one is with the new black grips (wood one's arrive today), and the other two show the inside of the slide (new stainless steel spring and general condition). I will post more with the new grip today

Does the dimple mean that it is the new or old version slide. An even stupider question would be that this does not add up... My SN's AR2339 (above the trigger, right?)

Your's appears to have been made sometime between April 1997 and March 1999.

Only an issue if you are buying new sights. But I'll admit I am confused too since my info says they made the old slide until 2004. But the dimple means new slide. And your serial number is before that. I'd recommend a call to Kahr before I order any sights.

Yes, with dimple indicates the type of sight dovetails vs different w/o dimple.
I talked to Kahr when I replaced the std sights with Williams Fire sights.

be the new slide but kahrs posts some potos of the new and old style dovetails sights. It is quite obvious when u see the photos to see what kind of slide u have. Kahr shows that dimple for the newer style slides to be more towards the back of the slide to. They have a photo showing that to. Now Iam not so so sure this diple where it is at means jack sh!t. I have seen slides with the dimple in the back where it shold be and also the same dimple u showed where it is as. It can be confusing. Myself I think I would go with the photos to determine.
I am bad at it but I am sure one of our good members here will post those kahr photos of the ifferent dovetails. I want to say as I did early u, do hav ethe new slide but I also want to CYA..:Amflag2:

The Black p9 slide is the old style. The stainless K9 slide is the new style. Hope this helps.

Well... Mine looks like the black one (new?) so I guess the previous owner purchased a new slide?

if urs looks like the blackone then u have the old style and that dimple as I explained might not be the right dimple that kahr is referring to.

if u hit on this above it shows the two kinds of dovetails. and states the dimple is at the back of the slide, so whereu dimple is l;ocated means sumpin else to kahrand does not mean it is the new style slide....

Here's the same topic covered a while ago, with an explanation of the mystery dimple in an older K9...
