After 600+ faultless rounds my P380 suddenly decided to turn into a jamb-o-matic. I sent an single e-mail to Kahr Service and within one hour received a reply from Jay. He said that he'd like to send me a new recoil spring to try before I sendingit back to the factory. I accepted his offer and within thirty minutes he replied that the new springs were being shipped. I'm not sure that the recoil spring will cure the problem, but his responsiveness was outstanding. Bravo Kahr Service and a large thank you to Jay.

Jay has a tuff job, but I think he is doing the membersof this forum very good. I think I would go withthe new springs to test out first, what else could have changed???

when u get the new springs, how about doing some viewing and coil count etc and let us know if kahr has made anyt changes on the springs. I have been told that some time back they went to a stouter spring set up to help FTRB issues. Not to sure if tha tis true of false. U will be able to tell us...

sure would not be a bad thing when one gets good service from kahr/Jay to rewrite him andlet him know how much u appreciate it to. .alittle pat on the back goes a long way. Just sayin

When my PM45 went south early on... Kahr was all over it, and it took two weeks to get it back. No complaints, especially considering the only parts that I got back that were original were the barrel, magazine and recoil spring... and I'm not too sure about the magazine!

Will do Jocko. I'll let you know as soon as I get them. I did send a note of thanks to Jay. He's helped me in the past and he is one great guy.

Haven't needed to use their service. Luckily my CM9 has been flawless out of the box. I have ordered parts from Kahr and am totally impressed with their attention and shipping speed. Fast.

I never kid about my P380. It's my constant companion. Now I'm forced to carry that heavy burdensome CM9 of mine. :) I'm sure that Jay and Kahr will resuscitate my P380 in short order. Even I malfunction on occasion.

My Kahr turn-around was nine days. Also had to rely on S&W recently, took six days to get a label with a projected 6-8 week stay at the tech hotel. Could/should be less but can't rely on that. Had to outfit another gun for upcoming class with great expense. Service is underrated til we need it, in my book Kahr's is tops.

The new recoil springs for my P380 arrived in this mornings mail. Jay must have hand carried them to the post office for me to have received them so quickly. I'm installing as I write. I can accomplish this feat because like Jocko, I type with just one finger. I do have the new and improved spell checker, however. :)

I had to stop typing to get the new springs installed. I needed all ten of my fingers to install the recoil spring assembly and guide rod. The springs are definitely much more beefy than the old springs. It's very difficult to pull the slide back far enough to lock it back. I'll try to get to the range tomorrow afternoon to see how the gun functions.

I'm still in the break-in period with my CW45, but the magazine would 'fall out'. E-mailed Kahr service about that at 3am, got e-mailed back from Jay by 7am and he will be sending me a magazine catch replacement, I'm very impressed how quickly he took care of this. Now I'll be able to figure out the FTE's , if it's me or the gun.
