Hi everybody..

I joined this forum after finding info on disassembly and reassembly of my recently purchased CM9.

I wanted the pistol black so I sent the slide, slide back plate, slide stop, and trigger off to Springer Precision for Ionbond.
I also bought a Trijicon front sight from Kahr.
Finally put all back together today..

This I my second Kahr pistol.
I bought a black PM9 a few years ago, but sold it my Dad to prevent him from buying a Taurus 709.
I was already using my Ruger LCP for pocket carry.
But I found myself wanting another pocket pistol in 9mm.

Welcome to the forum from another Texan. I bought a CM9 after my wife claimed my PM9 as hers. Still prefer my old PM9 but keeping wife happy is real important too. Both guns run great so not really any difference.

I very much like what you've done to your CM9 ... it looks very nice. I have a CM9 that I've thought about turning black, but I haven't done it yet. If it was my CW I would, but it came with a CT Laser so I use it as my upstairs gun. I bought a used limited edition MK9 Duo Tone which has a black slide and matte all metal frame. It's become my CW, although I still need to have the black slide refreshed. Welcome to the forum btw. Don't be a stranger.

Welcome. The CM9 looks great. Stick around here for a while, this is the REAL KahrTalk.

What is the going rate for the custom work? I already have night sights, just the black.

Thank you all for the welcomes..

I stripped the slide and removed the trigger and trigger bar.
I left everything else in the frame.
No sense removing anything I didn't need to.

I then sent just the trigger, slide stop, slide, and slide back plate to Springer.
It ran $118 total, return shipping included.
They did charge me a little to remove and reinstall the rear stock sight.
But I don't have a pusher that would have worked on that slide.
They told me it would take about 6 weeks, and it did indeed take 6 weeks.

Springer was very helpful and always answered my emails within a day or so.
I had several questions before I sent the parts in to be done.
They actually prep the parts, and send them to Ionbond, then send them back to me.

I'm very satisfied with the work done.
