I recently picked up a used CM9 and put about 100 rounds through it. I've noticed a FTF issue with the 7 round mag when it's used. The 6 round mags are flawless so it seems it's just with the 7 round. Is this a common occurrence? I love the gun so it's not a big deal but I just wanted to know. I didn't know a good search term to visit any past threads.

My 7 round mag has always worked well. But then I have always only loaded 6 rounds in it. Just by habit. It is easier to always have 6 rounds in the gun regardless of which mag I am using. You might check out the kahr tech section. As I recall there are some mag issues that are covered there.Happy range sessions!

Look at the cw45 issues and fixes. Some good info there that would also apply to your gun

Maybe you are gripping the 7 rounds mags messing up the flow? I have four 7 rounders and haven't had a single ftf or fte.

i can't shoot 7rd mags in my cm9 either nose dives. thinking about trading them in for 6rd ones. Kahr said send them in they'll do it.

Well that just defeats the whole purpose of me wanting a CM9, to use my CW9 mags for reloading in a SD occurance

I haven't had any issues out of my 7 round mag, I guess I should shoot it a few hundred more rounds before attempting to modify it. I also haven't had any issues slingshotting the slide when reloading, it's an ingrained training habit.

Did 50 rounds today on a timed Q course with lots of mag changes and one handed stuff. Due to the round count, I ran two 7 round mags. Ran flawless.

Also, I have some 147 gr JHP that I wanted to shoot. What's really the difference in the load other than the heavier bullet? I don't know much about loading.

Make sure the spring isn't installed backwards. I had two mags bought brand new and springs installed wrong.
