After researching for a while I bought a CM9 as a CHL carry piece. Followed the break-in procedures from this forum and shot it for the first time tonight. Happy to report 108 rounds down range with ZERO problems. The DAO trigger is a nice change from the revolvers and DA/SA semi's I've been shooting for the last 4 decades. Doesn't have as harsh of a recoil impulse as a friends Kimber Solo, and so far doesn't jam like his Solo did. Overall, I'm impressed with this pistol, and think it is a good alternative to the J-frame Smith...

Ive been shooting for over 60 years but never even been around a semi-auto. After getting my CCL wanted a gun to carry. Searched and tried them all and went for the CM9. Love it. Over 1000 rounds and not one malfunction. Think you made a great choice. Congrats.

see how that works, read the book that comes with the gun. Clean the gun. lube the gun. use good ammo in the gun. Gun goes BANG!

Great report....let us know how it goes.

A+ on the great alternative to DAO snubby carry.

So, how is everyone carrying theirs? I have a Remora and just ordered an alien gear holster, but I'm also looking at a desantis sof-tuk.

I stand at work all day and wear tucked in shirt. For me, pocket carry.

The Galco Pocket Protector works really well as does the Desantis Nemesis, it has a larger profile though. For IWB the RM lowrider is really comfy.

I carry mine in either a JP holster pocket holster or a PJ Holster AIWB holster depending on how I'm dressed.

Kydex seems EXTREMELY uncomfortable. No give like good leather that will mold itself to conform to shape and smooth out over time.

Ya'll really find kydex to be comfortable?

I use both Kydex and leather for my PM9.

I have found the Kydex better for FL EDC due to the heat and sweating as I do.
The Comp-Tac is a very comfortable IMB holster.
The MR is a class act and comfortable as well.

I have the proverbial drawer full of holsters and the PJ's is by far the most comfortable IWB I have ever found for small semi's. I have one each for my Shield and PM9. They seem to work well also AWB.
I have found that the PJ's work, but are not nearly as comfortable for my Snubbies. Something about the cylinder seems to rub me.

I carry two ways. Most of the year, I use a PJ Holster IWB appendix carry. But this summer I've gone minimalist by using a Dale Fricke trigger cover (Zacchaeus model) and carrying Mexican style -- gun shoved into waistband.

I use a Mika square bottom pocket holster. Holster stays in pocket on the draw, gun does not print.

IMO, best pocket holster around.

Bought PM9 4/2013 and have 500+ rds thru it with zero issues. Clean and lube (froglube) after each session, fantastic weapon! Carry PM9 in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster in front right pocket and Uncle Mike's #3 pocket holster. Depending on pocket shape of shorts determines which pocket holster. Use flat base 6 rd mag for pocket carry. No issues, very comfortable. Carry at 4 o'clock on right side in fall/winter in a Mr. Softy IWB by High Noon Holsters. Use 6rd mag with Pearce grip extension, does not affect conceal-ability. Very comfortable too! Don't have to spend a ton of scratch on a holster pocket or IWB.

I used to think the same thing not so long ago. I was always a die hard leather holster proponent.

I now own several IWB kydex holsters and they are very nice. Believe it or not, I can forget they are there even when driving. I'm a relatively slim guy for being middle age and don't have too much extra cushion to protect my hip bones, but I have no problem.

I own a PJ IWB and a FoxxTrapp IWB. The latter is adjustable for cant which I really do like.
