Fellas, I was looking for a P380 but I couldn't find one so I went with this CM9. I already have a PM9 but I just couldn't resist :).

Dang it, I put this in the wrong section. Maybe you could move it to the PM/ CM section? Thanks.

Just an observation, after just handling my Kahrs lately I picked up my Glocks and was struck by how imprecise and sloppy the Glocks feel in comparison. The Kahrs are just so tight and solid and dead silent when you shake 'em.

I'm not criticising the Glocks so much as complimenting Kahr.

Dang, I wan't a CM9.

Buy a little used PM9 and I"ll trade you for my little used CM9. That sounds like a winning deal.

I'm sure it does. I would take either, really like the black PM9s but would take a CM9 in a heart beat. Especially for 200-300 less.

Well, I call it "needs" but my better half doesn't seem to agree... I don't get it.

Fellas, I shot 100 rounds through my CM9 and 50 rounds through the LCP today. The Ruger LCP was flawless (oh wait one hang up on an ejection) and the Kahr had quite a few hiccups. I'm happy over all though knowing that the Kahr needs a break-in period. I was amazed how accurate I was with both guns even if it was only at 15 feet. The Ruger kicked even more than ther Kahr even though it's only 380 ACP.

I put a hundred more rounds through the CM9 and she's running much better now. The problem I had today was putting the rounds where I wanted them at 15 and 20 feet. I think I'm having trouble with the "dot the i sights". It seemed that my shots were going low and left. I suspect that the long trigger pull is causing me to flinch waiting for the gun to fire. I shot my Glock 30 today too and I was deadly accurate. I definitely understand the Glock sights.

If anyone can offer some assistance or tips on working with the Kahr's sights and long trigger pull would be appreciated. Thanks.

try just POA at 7 yards, these guns are what they are. Ur not gonna see all that sight stuff sh!t in the first place if shtf. get good with seeing that front sight and get fast with POA and u will surprise yourself with the accuracy. I don't shoot my PMJ9 good either but at 7 yards I will put every round SOMEWHERE IN YOUR BODY unless ur one of those fokking fidgets, and in that case I will just kick the dogsh!t out of u and spare the ammo cost. Just sayin.

Place the dot over the bar so it looks like a dotted i and put the dot on the center of the target. See the link on trigger control.

Thanks for the tips and the video link. I think I'm pulling the gun to the left with my trigger finger. I need to be more aware of staging my trigger pull with Kahrs. I just pulled until it fired. I guess if I stage the pull I can make the trigger act more like a SA or SA-like like a Glock.

My first reaction was to blame the gun thinking the sights were off. At only 15 feet I really concentrated on having my sight located in the center of the torso target and couldn't believe where the bullets were ending up, especially since I had shot the Glock 30 earlier and the bullets were going exactly where I was aiming.

These Kahrs are proving to be very challenging weapons to me, from placing the rounds, to breaking them in, to getting the magazines to eject freely. Lots of issues to address. The Glocks, while definitely the ugly sisters compared to Kahrs, seem to be low maintenance and just get the job done no matter what, like a cheap Timex watch. Love my Kahrs though like I love the strippers: maybe they're not the most practical but they sure are pretty :-).

You really can't stage the trigger because there's no trigger break. Just make one smooth motion. There's a video I can't find right now that suggests you relax the last joint (not relax WITH the last joint!) in your trigger finger so the pull is straight back rather than pushed to the left. That helped me. It took a long time for me to figure out the hide the bullseye part.

Ok, thanks. I'm gonna shoot/ breakin my PM9 tomorrow, and if I'm getting the same results I'll have no doubt it's user error rather than the gun. I'll try what you say.

Also get as high on the gun you can, and use thumbs forward grips. I can bang the hell out of steel with my cw9. Other people struggle with it, but I shoot it well. Just have to forget what you know and master the tool at hand, or in our case tool in hand.

Ok, thanks man. I'll give that a try and report back. Thanks again.

I've always wondered if I should place my offhand forefinger on the front of the trigger guard? I know that Glocks have a grippy surface there which never made any sense to me until possibly now. Good idea or not? Thanks.

placing your finger in the guard is personal choice. Just grip the gun high and don't make your shooter hand do all the work.

That video was great, thanks.

One thing I can't wrap my head around is how come I had such great results with my Glock 30? The only thing I can think is that, even though Glock calls it a subcompact, it's a much bigger gun than the CM9/ PM9. One other thing with the Glock is that I was able to get all all three fingers on the grip whereas with the Kahr just two, and even with the 7 round mag I was only using two fingers to grip it. I was afraid I might mess up feeding if I applied any pressure on the 7 round mag. I was having some feeding problems even with the 6 round mag so I didn't want to push my luck.
