Have taken a few trips to the range with the new gun and thought I would share my thoughts with everyone.

Trip 1-
50 rounds of Remington UMC 115gr
50 rounds of CCI Blazer Brass 115gr
100 rounds of WWB 115gr
20 rounds of Federal Personal Defense 115gr JHP
20 rounds of Corbon 115gr +P JHP

The first 70 rounds or so I fired were everywhere at 10yds(High, Low, Left, and Right) would have had a better group with a sawed off 12ga. Once I hit 100 rounds threw the gun.....boy did those groups tighten up..I figured it was the fact the the gun was getting broke in better. I get too the end of my ball and shoot the Hollow points....man this little gun is smoking accurate!!!! 0 FTF/0 FTE

Trip 2-
50 rounds of Federal Champion 115gr
50 rounds of CCI Blazer Brass 115gr

I take the wife me to the range last night because she has never fired a handgun in her life. At the range we buy the 8in Shoot n See targets. My wife starts shooting at a silohette target for the first two mags so she can get a feel for the gun....she drills 12 out of 15 within the 9 ring on the target, so I put up one of the 8in targets and she shoots about 80 rounds of the 100 all on the 8in target. I shoot the last 20 on a couple of the 8in targets and Im putting them one ontop of the other.
0 FTF/0 FTE.

So far, I am very impressed with the functioning, feel, and accuracy of this amazing gun! It is my first handgun I have bought for myself and could not be anymore happier with the 380 dollar Kahr!

Total rounds Fired To Date-340..... 0 FTF......0 FTE

The CW9 is a sweet pistol. Be sure to continue to lube it per the prep sticky in Khar-Tech.

Congratulations! Sounds like you got a keeper. I have a CM9, but I would bet that I wouldn't mind that extra 1/2" all the way around ... I use a pinky extension anyway. On the other hand, since I got my all metal MK9 Birdsong, I don't know that I would go back to regularly using half-plastic. Thanks for the good report ... we love to hear them.

Great! If I didn't pocket carry, I would rather have the CW than my CM.

New member, first post, new CW9 owner . . .

Took it to the range yesterday to break it in, put 200 rnds of Winchester WB 115 gr FMJ through it. No FTF or FTE, just a really sore thumb from loading the same magazine over and over (2 in the mail).

One problem with racking on an empty chamber but this does not appear to be a new issue isolated to myself, reading a lot about it online. Any ideas/comments/suggestions for a Kahr newbie would be greatly appreciated. Read here and there about polishing the feed ramp with a Dremmel and felt tip? Yay or nay?

Nice report, gun keeps getting sweeter and sweeter the more you shoot it.

My MK9 seems to like Fiocchi ammo the best..don't know why..................I polish the feed ramps on all of my firearms.....................they make a nice little kit for just that type of polishing. You just have to make sure that you don't take too much off..............you're polishing, not grinding. Makes the ramp smooth as glass. I feel that it's just a bit more insurance that it will help with the feeding of hollowpoints, which can sometimes get hung up at the tip. Have not had the problem...........was it because of the polishing? Can't say for positive, but it doesn't hurt...............

Chamber a round using the slide stop for awhile until it breaks in more. Should be more forgiving to chambering that first round with more time.

Do you have a link or recommendation on the polishing kit? I looked it up and mostly got YouTube videos or more threads for discussion and not an actual "for sale, would you like to order" site. Maybe I am making this too hard.

Thanks for the maglula tip, looked that up, sounds like a good idea.

Most of the Kahrs coming off the line of late have the feed ramps already well polished. I expect your is as well. If it isn't all you need is the little polishing tip for a dremel. If it shows a lot of machine marks I'd start with some 400 or 600grit sand paper on a dowel, then hit it with the polish.

Again I seriously doubt your feed ramp needs it. When new these guns are tough to chamber a round using a sling shot type loading style which is why Kahr recommends locking the slide back and hitting the slide release so it has full momentum to feed that first round.

I have been using the slide stop every time and mine hasn't giving me a problem. I read in the manual to do it so I do

Just look up Dremmel/ firearm polishing kit on ebay. It will pop up. I got the whole kit for $9.00. Or, just go to the hardware store and look for the Dremmel attachments, and look for a felt cone shaped polishing tip.

Giving another update on my CW9....

Went back to the range twice and put another 250rds threw the ol' girl and ZERO problems. Just a sweet little gun. When I go to the range from now on, I should try to shoot the Kahr by itself and not throw in the Glock and go back and forth.....the triggers get me a few times then I'm good. I got some targets I shot with the Kahr and the Glock, I was comparing them @ 7yrds and 10yrds. Ill post them up here soon so everyone can see how they compare if anyone is interested. Figure there are alot of people carrying both
so I figure Ill show mine in comparison.

The only thing I am starting to notice with the Kahr is that when I shoot my last round, the slide now is starting to not lock back to the rear....I figure its a problem with the mag but I'm not 100% sure.
