I posted about the nice Ruger Mannlicher I found for my birthday,

and then later my wife surprises me with a Glock 19 given to me by my brother-in-law. Knock me over with a feather! :D Certainly a memorable birthday for me. Can't wait to hit the range with the 200 rounds of ammo he also sent with the pistol.
Wow!
Here she is...

Yes. Grip is a gen 2 style and the barrel date matches the serial number born on date of November, 1989. I'm not a real Glockophile, so I'll have to do some googling.

Definitely a gen 2 based on the checkering on the grip and serrations on the front of the trigger guard. Still a keeper regardless. That is a very happy birthday indeed.

Happy Bday. I have a gen 2 19 (and 17) myself and they both have been flawless (the 19 for probably 15 years or so). I grabbed a 10/22 earlier this year but haven't really put it through it's paces (damn ammo).
I understand gen 1 19s are cut down 17s and there are only a handful of them...and worth a ton.

a ton of what?//birdfeed, ovomit sh!t. pegosie diarehea???. Its beenalot of years but I thought the G19 was shorter all the way aroundthan the G17, course I am getting old and after watching some real Italian Pokak music today my eyes are in terrible shape. Maybe the colonel or downtown can help me with this..
