the part about unlicensed ammo struck a cord. That's what they want here too. Another reason to join the NRA now.
Shooting into a locked bathroom? Is this jackhole serious?

It wasn't that long ago in America that people buying ammunition that could be used in a rifle and pistol had their purchases recorded. I remember having to sign for .22LR and of having to show proof of age. I believe that this requirement fell under the Gun Control act of 1968. (And yes, I am older than dirt, Jocko.)

I remember that too but I also remember in 1969 my buddy and I both 12 years old at the time going to Woolco (prehistoric Walmart) and both buying Iver Johnson single shot 12 gauge shotguns and all the shells we could carry on our bikes, no questions asked....Go figure that one...

I'm only 60, but I don't remember ever having to show ID or be "of age" to buy 22 lr. I was buying my Sunday afternoon box of .22 (short, long or lr) every Saturday morning by 1964-65, and an occasional box of .410 shells.

Funny thing about all the effort and fuss of recording the who and the proving age with ID went by the wayside because the government decided it was USELESS info and not worth collecting.
What changed, besides the occupant of the White House? History has already taught the government that this huge volume of info serves no law enforcement purpose. It is only "useful" to "back door track" law abiding gun owners.
