Have any of you Guys /Girls been watching the TV Show Under The Dome?
This is a great TV show and for those who have not been watching, may I suggest if you have on demand TV that you go back to the beginning and watch the episodes. Last night the powers to be in the town of Chester's Mills talked the towns people in to giving up there guns. While the powers to be ( Scumbags) hide them in and old storm shelter for there safe keeping and I'm sure use as they see fit... This show is going to get very interesting real quick, as now all the Politicians, Drug dealers, Murders, have all the guns. Stay tuned folks as think we're about to see what happens if you have no way to protect your lives and your rights. This show seems to be headed in a direction that most TV shows dare not tread in this liberal world we seem to be living in when it concerns guns.

My wife sometimes watches it. I fell asleep during the episode you mentioned. Hopefully it goes as you describe, and wakes people up!

I really don't like series TV shows but I've got hooked on the A&E series Longmire. Kind of a modern cowboy/western series and there's not a single anti-gun attitude so far.
What Channel does "Under the Dome" come on?

CBS I believe it is, Monday night 10 o'clock. The wife and I usually watch it Tuesday evening on, on demand so we can Fast forward through the commercials.

Mildly interesting. to me it is like the walking dead. The premise is so outlandish both are nothing more than time filler for me as nothing better is on in my area in those time slots.

For those that want to watch shows, and don't have cable, HULU.COM has a variety of recent episodes of many popular TV shows, including The Dome, and The Walking Dead, and many many others. They even have episodes of old TV shows from decades past. If you add HULU Plus, sometimes they have whole seasons of a show. Hulu.com is free and normally allows you to view the last 5 episodes, but you have to wait a week after they were aired. Hulu Plus is $8.00 a month, but allows you to watch the current episode without waiting a week. You can watch them on your computer, or if you have TV or Blu-Ray player that connects to the internet, many times you can watch the episodes on you TV.

I'll give it a look, sounds interesting enough...For some reason other than the local news we don't ever watch Network TV anymore and pass right over to the cable channels....Someone mentioned Longmire and we are hooked on that show Monday nights, I really like the character of Walt Longmire and the writing is pretty good and they don't have any negative bias towards guns that I can see...Walt carries a beautiful 1911 with stag grips and is a pretty fair shot....Longmier is very much like the "Jesse Stone" character in the Robert Parker books and mini movies except Longmier is based in Wyoming and not Massachusetts...

I have a tendency to watch interesting programming like the Military History Channel, Discovery Channel or Fox News. If I want to watch fantasy I turn on CNN, or MSNBC. :)

The Dome has been great so far, hope they keep up their standards. Copper started out excellent and then took a crap. Personally the best show is Breaking Bad.

If you want to know how it all turns out go to Wikipedia. It is all laid out there. One season show.

The wife and I have watched every show. Better done than most shows of this type (way better than "Revolution" at remembering physics would still work in the post electricity world...).
The problem some at work had following along has been the timeline. On the show it has been less than 10 days since things started but it has taken a month to tell that story. I do think they should have written more stuff into the scripts to make that point.
Not a bad show for what it is and yes the "government" gun collection angle looks interesting.

Looked it up awhile back when first started watching the show. You can bet if it's a hit and bringing in money they will find a way to stretch it out and make it last as long as they can.

IIRC all the seasons shows are in the can, meaning there is nothing left to shoot. Once the dome is lifted by the story line the entire premise is over and the end.
From what I have read in the entertainment press it was one shot deal no matter what. It ratings are okay but nothing to write home about.
