He deserves the time he was sentenced to and more but what I want to know is what idiot put a young mental case like Private Bradley "Chelsea" Manning in the super sensitive position where he was able to do such a thing in the first place, same with Snowden, did they do ANY backround checks on these two morons before giving them the keys to all that secret information????

Background checks for a secret clearance is "basic". Looks at your background and financials along with character. Top secret digs deeper in that your kindergarten teacher will be interviewed, along with many more people. There is yet a higher level and I'm not sure what all that one involves but I'm fairly certain body cavity searches for anyone you have ever known or met is a requirement.

Is it just me, or is it a bit unfair and unjust that the one sharing the government's documents gets hammered, but the ones who are shown to be deep into illegal activities by those documents get to walk free? Don't mind my crazy ramblings.
