Welcome to the group. You'll find a great bunch of people here who can offer advice on any issues you might have with your P380. Glad to hear it's running so well.

Wow! A gun owner who lives in NY. I don't think I've ever actually met one of those in person. I think the powers that be here ... (you'll learn who I mean if you stick around long enough) ... should let you go to the head of the class. Anyway, welcome and congrats on a great gun.

Welcome fellow New Yorker! Must be an UpStater and not one of those city folk down yonder. Bet you feel the same as I about the Governor and his gun laws.

Hey guys. Thanks for the warm greeting! Hey gary b. Im one of the lucky Down Staters that has a concealed carry. And for anyone who has ever experienced NY gun laws, the term luck takes on a whole new meaning lol. Anyway, I'm extremely happy I bought this gun. I went to the range earlier today and threw a whole mix of ammo through it, including Buffalo Bore 100 Gr. hardcast. Not one hang up. I was shocked! Take care for now all and I most definitely pick knowledge from everyone when I can and in turn if i may be of help to anyone, great! Have a good night all.

+1 on that Gov comment Downtownv. How far down state are you albo? Certainly not in the city. There is a line there...you know. Glad to hear you like your new Kahr and it eats the ammo well.

Isn't N.Y. and gun owner a contradiction in terms? Well, if you own a P380 then you can't be all bad. I refer to my 380 as my constant companion. Welcome aboard.

Hey Downtown. I'm not sure of which legislation of which you speak. There are so many pxxxed off gun owners here and so many lawsuits being filed its hard to keep track. I live in Long Island gary b. Its not NYC but they still make a person jump through hoops to get a permit. In all fairness to the Pistol Section, they seem to be a good bunch of officers and they do have a large pool of applicants, but they are understaffed. Each time I was there the line was long but the officers treated me well and always apologized for the wait. Plus they still have to manually enter a lot of stuff on pen and paper and use filing cards! No computer for lots of tasks! In this day and age. NYC on the other hand is a different beast all together. I have friends who are retired Police Officers who get totally hassled by the NYC pistol permit section. IE what type of gun they carry, they even had to turn in the magazines they carried their whole career because they held more than ten rounds. Like I said to myself when I got my carry permit, Im glad I do'nt live in NYC. I figure I would get my permit when the Mayan calendar ran out lol. Getting off the topic a bit, the only other frustrating thing am finding out is the lack of availability of 380 ammo locally. I've had good luck on line but its expensive and on top of that I am hearing there is a movement to ban on line ammo sales in NY like the ban being proposed in CT. It would seem that the North East is a headache for lawful gun owners as a whole.:(
