CW9 Original Front Sight Re-install

Does anyone know the procedure to re-install the factory plastic front sight on a CW9. While breaking the gun in, the original front sight broke and flew off. Kahr sent me a new one (all plastic) and I'm not sure how to secure it. I can't afford the Dawson Fiber Optic front sight right now that I want. I just got this to hold me over for a bit. I'm thinking heat applied on the underside to flare the end may work but I don't want to mess it up. Any advice would be appreciated.

You are correct about melting and flaring the post ends to secure the sight on the slide. This might be of some help:
