How much time have you spent. It looks good. You used a compound I assume?

very little time spent really. Emery cloth then flitz polish by hand.

I started with 400 grit, then 800 grit, then 1500 grit. Then a little flitz metal polish on a rag. Very little of the Emory cloth was used. mostly flitz polish. It really does not take very long.

Why did you polish the barrel? It only shows for a fraction of a second.

Very Nice, maintainable finish. I have a high polish K40 that I keep pristine using gun oil on a gray scotch brite pad. It stays near mirror finish that way and I can always get out the little surface abrasions. But I like the "Fine Brush" finish look very much and I don't think I would mirror polish any other guns. I might try your method on a project.

Looks great, my husband may do that to some of his guns, he loves the shiny look. However, almost all of my guns are blued/black so it's not for me.

Men love cosmetics. That's why women wear them. Personally, I like my women and guns unadorned. :)

Solomon and The Byrds both agree ... there's a time and place for everything.
