I'm selling a K9. I just recently put new smooth wood stocks on it. It has the factory sights and one magazine. This all steel powerhouse pistol shoots like a dream, but I don't need so many.
Lucky for you!
I'll accept $495 plus shipping.
Pistol is sold, pending funds.

Wow! That sounds tempting ... I've become very fond of my MK9 and have been thinking I might like it to have a big brother.

I don't whittle stuff like initials etc, that takes artistic talent that I can't seem to grasp. If you got the initials on a coin or something that I can inlay into the wood we're golden. You can look at lapel pins, that sort of thing. I've inlaid dogs, that sort of thing. Try not to get too awful intricate, that would be a sure sign that you hate me and I don't like to be hated ya know?
Anything that fits into the flat portion is possible. Those grips are ideal for an inlay, relatively solid coloring so the pin or whatever shows up.
A pin with checkering around it, whatever you want within reason of course.

My wife called away to clean out a clogged sink ... and I come back and it's gone. I really did have a bad feeling about that sink right from the get go.

And I was already working it out in my head how I would arrange to pick it up next month when we come down to see our new granddaughter in Wake Forest.

Ray, let me know if you have any spare time while you're down here & we'll meet up for some target practice! I know, I know. Shooting takes a DISTANT backseat to a baby granddaughter!

Bawanna,
Today I purchased DK's fine looking K9 and now because of your kind offer I hope to have a nice checkered grip to go with it as I've had the pleasure of looking thru 43 pages concerning your woodworking expertise. I sent you a PM earlier asking how I would go about working the details out with you. I have some details of the purchase to work out with you when you have the time.
If my PM didn't come thru let me know and I'll send it again. I'm fairly new to the forum and may have messed up sending it.

You did just fine, I just responded. Wife made me go to a Oak Ridge Boys concert, I love them and used to enjoy them but being deaf it's like Stevie Wonder going to a topless bar if you get my drift.
Anyhow I was away. We'll fix ya up proper. I ain't much but I'm a man of my word.

Want to thank Bawanna for his generous offer of free Checkering to the K9 I bought from DKmatthews. I'm very pleased to have met DK and Bawanna and FINALLY got my K9 together with the Newly Checkered wood grips that Bawanna was kind enough to offer. Bawanna was nice enough to work with me to determine the checkering parameters and type of checkering he would apply. I didn't want to detract from the wood grain and after looking thru Bawanna's Emporimum(beautiful work here) found what he calls Skip Checkering and liked it right away. It couldn't have turned out better.
Thank you guys,
bob
