Yesterday I finally had the chance to shoot my CM9 in a BUG (Back Up Gun) match. It's been fine at the range, but I was looking forward to trying it in something more like a self-defense scenario.

I didn't do that great, but then I never do, so it wasn't the gun's fault! Before I got the Kahr I was worried about whether I'd be able to adjust to that trigger, but it gave me no trouble. I was probably about as accurate as I would have been with my M&P. I'm just slow is all.

The only weird thing was that my magazines popped out a couple of times. After the second time, I started slamming them in much more firmly, and that seemed to fix it. Weird that that hasn't happened before, but I think it must just be that I was rushing my reloads or something. I'm only 180 rounds into the break-in period, so I guess I'm still learning my way around this gun.

Anyway, I felt like I validated my choice of carry gun last night. This gun definitely works for me, and it's fun to shoot too.

I too shot my CM9 in a match this summer (PCCA @ Caswell Ranch). It performed very well. I think it makes a great carry gun to boot.

Way to go. Could the mag issue be do to the added excitement/higher energy or stress of try'n to run threw a match with others watching ? Not like the some what more leasurely way and breaking in a new pistol. That's one reason I use a 8 rounder as a back up. Have a little more to wrap my hand around

Good report. I really like the Kahr trigger but then I'm a long time revolver guy.
