What kind of material is used to make a sticky holster or remora holster?
Is it water resistant?

Thanks in advance.

I have no idea exactly what the material is, but it's rubbery to the touch. So definitely a plastic/rubber material. Very pliable, very sticky. Yes, it's water resistant. Their website indicates (or used to) that you could simply wash it with mild detergent and water if it ever got dirty/dusty. Over time, mine has gotten a bit of 'fabric residue' on it, basically from cotton clothing, and a quick run under warm water takes it right off and after a good drying (water and pistols don't mix) it's just as tacky and new feeling as the day out of the packaging.

Remora makes a water shield version. My "regular" version is not water proof and I am hesitant to say it is even water resistant. I wear IWB and sweat will quickly penetrate the sticky material's pores to the gun. That is why I am hesitant to say it is even water resistant. However, It is very pliable and sticky. It can be washed with mild detergent in the sink. It is my favorite IWB carry holster for my PM40. Very comfortable, works and holds up very well. They do stretch over time and I've simply added a stitch to take up the slack....no big deal.
