Six months ago I traded my CW40 to my LGS. It was then sold to another guy in less than a week. This past Thursday they advised me it had been traded back in. Looked just like it did when I traded it in. Supposedly the guy had only fired two rounds thru it to try it out. I now have it back in my hands :D. I'm glad she found her way back home.

Some things are just meant to be.
I sold my first gun a Ruger Single Six to a co worker many years ago. I ended up buying it back after a year or so too. Still have it, it's meant to be.

If it has to do with guns, Bawanna probably got there before you.

What was the Net?
Did you come out ahead or behind financially?
Just be glad its a firearm and not a woman.
I know two gents, each married a gal and bought a house. Then they split. Both lost over $100k on the old ladies half of the real estate, and the legal fees were probably in excess of $20k.
Both ladies sold their share of the division of property - that is, all firearms, all really nice cameras, all boats and Harley's.... so it all had to be liquidated. The basic ruination of the male by way of the legal process which favors the defenseless and nearly legally blameless.
End story - both women now broke, come back to the guys they ruined, and the stupid asses took 'em back and married 'em again. Go figure.

I did very well selling, I took a severe beating buying.
I've never split with a woman so while that is about the scariest thing I can think of I know nothing about that.
I think even if we were to split she wouldn't mess with my guns. That would be like pulling life support and she knows that.

I've never heard that one before ... but I'm right in the middle of it as my 1998 VW Cabrio is out getting painted as I type.

Sort of...
A few years ago I sold my buddy a Walther P22 to finance a suppressor purchase. A year later he was the best man in my wedding; the day after the wedding we were opening presents and there in the box sat the P22, a gift for my wife. He had given me a 1911 ;-)

A gun for a wedding gift I love the hell out of that. That's cool.
Beats heck out of sheets and dishes.

I'm trying to convince my wife to assist me in my quest to be a body painter but so far she won't have anything to do with it.
She says I have no artistic talent, that's a bald faced lie, well not really but such a lame excuse.

Not so much "bought the same gun twice", but...
In early 1993, I was headed overseas and trying to get my ducks in a row prior to the move. In that process, my reloading setup and several firearms went to a good friend. One of the guns was an older Colt Police Positive Special in .38 Spl. It had seen some use as a Colombian National Police sidearm (lot of cosmetic wear), but was a good shooter with a smooth and correctly timed action. Well, about 4 years ago my buddy handed the leads to the old Pony back to me:

Since it's return I've added some stag to it:

Just tell her you need not be artistic to finger-paint.

That's where things started to go bad for me. She asked where my brushes and equipment were, I told her I wanted to be a natural painter so I'd just use my hands and fingers.
I think she was just BSing me anyhow, she wouldn't have went for it even with brushes.
Might get some and try again but I ain't optimistic.

Oh man! That's a right pretty picture right there, a fine stag wearing revolver and an equally fine looking knife. Stag and damascus, you've pierced my heart square.

Not the same exact gun but the same make and model. When my SIG 1911 C3 was stolen, I replaced it with the same gun. It was the only one I directly replaced, but it's so accurate, comfortable, and good looking, I had to have another.
Also, four or five years ago, I sold my CW45 to buy a PM45. I liked the PM fine, but when it got itself stolen, I never replaced it. However, the CW is another story. I really missed that CW45, so two years ago, I bought another. It's become my favorite carry pistol when I can cover a belt holster.
As to "if it has tires" is concerned, just look at my avatar, and you'll know I'm thoroughly familiar with that concept.

Gee, you guys are too much ... I've only ever owned the two guns I've got ... and O'Dell has had two stolen.

Far more than two as I recall. More like 8 or 10, even more.

Not the exact same gun, but I sold my CW45 because it would not feed from the 7 round mags, even after 2 trips back to Kahr, who returned it both times saying it functioned, and then failed on the 2nd round out of the 7 round mag at the range.
It would fire the last 3 or 4 rounds most of the time without a problem, and I think Kahr was only loading 2 or 3 rounds in the mag then testing it. Even after mentioning that it would shoot ok with 3 or 4 rounds left.
I was going to try a different CW45 to see if I had better results, but then I heard Kahr was coming out with the CM45, so I decided to wait and see what that was like. Still waiting. Supposedly the success of the CW380 has pushed back the release of the CM45 to this fall sometime. I'm glad I had a CW40, it's not a bad replacement.

Actually it was fifteen in two burglaries in 8/10 and 2/11. I'm much better now.

Another reason why I never use extended mags in any pistol, whatever the brand. I still shoot 7 rounders in my FS 1911, because that's how John Moses designed it.
Both of my CW45's were 100% from the first shot, but I've only used 6 round mags. I sold my CW40 sometime after buying the second CW45 because I felt it was redundant.

Paid the $300 back they gave me when I traded it + $25. I thought that was fair.

Three years ago I sold my S&W 629 Classic DX to a friend. Last month I bought it back. He made a small profit and I am a happy camper.

It's cheaper to keep her or so the saying goes.
Bought a Norinco 1911 in the early 2000's, sold it to a friend then when he moved back to NJ the shop I bought the gun from bought out his inventory. So I paid the same price again for the same gun.
Shoots to point of aim with no malfunctions so it's sitting in my safe right now.
I paid the same price both times and the guy who bought it from me paid that same price so I'm not out a penny on it.
