mine shipped out last Thursday a.m. and made it to the mothership this morning at 0730

Mines going back today. Springfield told me that the turn around time is 2 - 4 weeks.

Mine arrived there yesterday morning, I do not plan on seeing it anytime soon. Just so long as it's right when I get it back, I'm cool. I really liked that pistol.

Mine arrived yesterday as well. Other suitable equalizers were vying to get out for a carry anyway.

The sooner you send it in the sooner it gets back. If you wait the delay WILL get for worse than 4 weeks.

I spoke to customer service this morning and they were very explicit in saying that the recall work on the received XDS will not start until the middle of the month. I think all members who are under the belief that the 2 to 4 week turn around time starts as soon as the guns are received will be very disappointed . Has anyone received a different message or should we as a group ask Springfield for a clarification.

^^This.. especially considering that the recall affects around 225,000 guns.

I have a Shield 9mm. When the recall came out last week I performed the yet on the trigger safety and it's fine. I had decided to send it in anyway just so I could say it has had the recall work performed. Besides, I wanted to carry the XDs 45 for a few weeks anyway. I had it boxed and ready to drop off when the XDs recall hit.

Looks like the XDs needs a lot more attention than just a little trigger safety with a burr. So... I'm unpacking the Shield and packing up the XDs... Sigh...

Shipped my XDs 45 back last Friday.

Most of the responses on the 'net are stating SA as quoting 2-4 wk turnaround, but I imagine that will grow as more folks submit their RMA's.

In the interim, I've purchased a PM9193. w00t! :D

Thanks SA. You gave me a solid base to argue with my wife why I needed the PM9! :p
