About three years ago I sent my CW9 off to Kahr to have Meprolite night sights installed. I loved the sights and have been very happy with them. I used my CW9 as my EDC in a Fist IWB holster. I have since picked up a black PM9 for my EDC and relegated the CW9 to favorite range gun status.

This morning at the range the front sight flew off my CW9. One tip broke off in the slide and the other is still intact on the sight. I found the sight about six feet behind me.

My question is this, should I replace this with another night sight or try something else? I'm not sure I need night sights for my current use for this gun. How are the new fiber optic sights? Should I go back to just black sights and change the rear back also? I really like Novak sights and might give them a try. Any advice would be appreciated.

If I did not put on another night sight I'd go to Dawson sights. He makes fiber optic front sight for Kahr. I put them on my competition M&P40PRO and its companion M&P22LR....both guns have matching front sights. Your eye is drawn to the front sight which is important for speed in competition. Very reliable and rugged. Google Dawson Precision to check them out.

So Gary, You put them on the front only? I've been thinking of doing this and keeping the "V" for the rear. If you did it this way how do you like it? What color did you install.
