Am I the only one who sees all the Oman postulating on Syria, asking congress for a vote, as just a diversion to get them and the rest of the world off his back on Health Care, Bengasi, IRS, Fast and Furious, etc.
All the senators line up and read their scripted BS and all the cable pundits bloviating for hours about nothing, on every show...are they stupid?
Even the posts here, while Oman writes/slips in gun control executive orders, he has everyone watching a bunch of geezer senators taking turns to spew out the same old rhetoric while the rest of them play games on their phones?
His motive has nothing to do with anything but politics, could care less about any outcome, and hopes it'll carry over to the mid-terms and be the main topic, so his cronies can get re-elected.

Yes, we have all watched the Chris Mathews rant vid.
But all that was BEFORE the Oman pulled Syria "out of his back pocket" and made it news again.
The back pedaling in the red line remark, saying he was speaking for everyone (not him alone).
Why, why now?...after ignoring congress for 5+ years, all politics

Even Michael Moore was on CNN blasting BarryO about the moving "Red Line" and not standing up to his word....When Michael Moore AND Chris Matthews start ranting against the "Chosen One" I'm thinking it's time for Jesus to show up any day now!!!

Hard to say what is going on....it's politics...you are absolutely correct. However, I was thinking today that it was stupid to announce an attack... UNLESS we are actively watching what movements Syria and their allies are up to, in order to prepare for a defense. WE have that capability and would use that Intel to our advantage. Clearly we are doing this to make those X marks the spot count.
On the other hand, it could simply be political posturing. Get them thinking straight....Yea right! Ultimately, I don't believe it is doing the world a bit of good to threaten anything. Just creates a big stir as far as I am concerned. Better to keep our mouths shut for a change and let them run their own course.
