To calarify my question. I'm trying to ask if the same after market sights will fit either model?
Thanks

No, they are not the same.
The CM front sight is held on by two posts. The PM front sight fits into a dovetail.

Dawson Precision sights shown for comparison

The rear sight is interchangeable if the PM has a slide with the "new" dovetail cut. CMs have the new dovetail cut (rear sight only).http://kahr.shopvisible.com/images/newslidestyle.jpg

Thanks!

Does the after market support both models or do I need to get a PM to have a choice of after market sights?

There are aftermarket night sights and fiber optic sights avaiable for both. There are also different conventional (black) sights available for both. Kahr has some listed here: http://www.kahr.com/Sights/Sights.asp
Dawson Precision also has sights for both:

http://www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=SIGHTS+REAR:Kahr+Arms+ Rear+Sights

XS Big Dots are available for both. The dovetail style is listed on their website, but you need to contact them about the sight for "C" series Kahrs. http://xssights.com/

It looks like there are more options for the PM vs the CM??

There are more options for the PM, however the Trijcon night sights for the CM are awesome.
The front site needs some Loctite 609 joint compound used in the install (red on the threads, 609 on the bottom of the sight and in the second tube).

The gun shoots way better with the night sights. Much better sight picture. I found the standard sights to be awful.

I can understand that. I don't own a gun that has the factory sights on it. I was figuring they were going to have to be changed.

I really like TruGlo TFO sights. They give you the best of both worlds. Fiber optic so really bright in the light and tritium so still bright in low light. Too bad they don't make them for the Kahr. I have them on most of my Glocks.

This is definitely one thing to consider when choosing between the C and the P models (referring to your other thread about which to choose). You will have more (not many, but some) sight choices w/ the P series since it's not a pinned front sight. With the C, you are somewhat more limited.

I found it hard to get a good sight picture with the standard sights.
Forget the "night" thing, the Trijicons give a very very sharp sight picture. Replace the mepro's on the G26 and G19, and added them to the Kahr. Glock sights were from around 1994 and were pretty dead anyway.
But the sight picture is way way better in good light!

 Dawson Precision is out of every single sight for the CM/CW series.

Kahr had them in stock two weeks ago when I bought mine.

I'm going to order from Dawson because of the choice of getting different heights on the front sight. I'm going to shoot it with the factory sights first to get an idea of how accurate it is. Then I will order from Dawson and wait for them to make what I want.

They are very helpful at Dawson. They will make you sights in a specified period of time, special order. Just speak with them.

I've seen Dawson write to go ahead and order anyway as they replenish their stock daily/weekly. For what it's worth.

gm6491??, Should I assume the CW sights will work CM?
